June 22 2008 Magical Mexican Riviera Cruise

Do you think they would want something from your home state? Most of the crew on board are from overseas, so I wondered if they would be interested in things from the states? We're from Texas and so excited to be going on the cruise. We went last summer on the Wonder and thought it would be awhile before we could go again, but here we are. My DD graduates in three weeks and so packing will definitely have to wait. The pictures of the ship going through the Panama Canal were great.:goodvibes :goodvibes

You are gaonna LOVE the GHC! It is really nice & close! I bet you are getting excited like me!:cheer2: What are your options for getting to the hotel from LAX. The CRAZY thing about LA is that it could take you 45 minutes to get to Disney one day & 3 1/2 the next! My nephews will be on board with us aged 18 & 16 so it splits the ages of your DS's! :cool1:

I still have to decide how I'm getting my family from LAX to the GCH at Disneyland

I highly recommend Super Shuttle. We're using them this trip ($16 per person - $14 with the coupon from the entertainment book). My mom and I used them back in 2005 and we had a great experience!

We'll be at the GCH from the 18th on...got to love those DVC points!

How many days now?

Hey, we get in on the same day! What is the contact info for the super shuttle? Are you using Disney transport from the Grand Califonian to the port and then back to the airport? We are.

YES we LOVE our DVC!! :cool1:

Check my sig for how many days - not months any more :cheer2:

I've always booked online at www.supershuttle.com.If you have an entertainment book, the coupon code is in there.

Yes, we're doing Disney transport from GCH to the ship and from there to LAX.

What time are you getting in on Wednesday? Maybe we'll see you in the airport - that would be funny! Our plane lands about 2:30 PM pacific time.

And no...sadly, no sign of cruise docs here. Any idea how far in advance they get mailed out? Total cruise newbie here.

Less than a month!:cool1:

We leave at 0700 and get in at 11 am CA time. Looks like we'll be riding together to the port!

The cruise docs should be coming any time now. Off to make shuttle ressies!

Made my SuperShuttle ressies for a private van. The extra $60 is a drop in the bucket compared to what the cruise cost and I don't want to have to wait and drop off others :goodvibes Thanks for the tip!!

I have been completely cruise obsessed this weekend! I spent yesterday finalizing our port plans. We're doing the zip line in PV, Randi's horses in Mazatlan, and I'm still unsure of how to spend our day in Cabo. My DD gets seasick on anything other than the Magic, so that eliminates a lot of choices there.

Today, I've been haunting the boards to look at the pictures of "my" ship coming in to port, and now I'm waiting to see the departure shots.

And, we just splurged and bought a new camera (thanks, tax stimulus!), so I have to learn all of its ins and outs.

Yep, I'm totally cruise obsessed this weekend!

Hey, we just got back from the port & we had an AMAZING time waving good-bye to the magic! Met some really nice people, & got some good photos...I am figuring out how to upload & I will post them for you! Some of my family is doing the zipline in PV. My DK's are too young!:headache:

My daughter is also too young to do the zip line through DCL, but we booked it through the company directly, and she was fine. She's 9, so she's one year too young for most of the things we wanted to do, but we've adjusted. Let me know if you want the information.

I can't wait to see the pictures! I'm feeling very generous to let all of those people borrow my ship until I'm ready to board!

I can't figure out how to post the photos....Boy do I feel DUMB! If you wanna see them send me you e-mail & I'll be happy to send 'em to you. If not, it's no biggie & someone at the main board has photos posted. (They are obviously WAY smarter than I am!):confused3 Anyway....I am just as excited as you are especially after watching the ship go out! Have a good Night!:hippie:

If you want to post a pic, go to post and then when you open up the window the second icon from the left above the typing box looks like a mountain with a sun. If your cursor is where you want the pic, click the icon and paste the URL of where your pic is hosted. You need to have it out on someone's web site. I use photobucket and have been very pleased. Remember to size your pic for the web when you do it or it will be gigunga ;)

Thanks for the info...no wonder I couldn't figure it out....I'm gonna give it a try!

Thanks for posting them. They look great. They didn't help with my getting anything productive done, though! The obsession lives on.

Yeah, I feel a tad bit obsessed, I heard that the cruise the week before us got their cruise docs. this weekend, so we should be getting ours soon!!! Here's to staying focused fro the next 4 weeeks!:lmao:

Focus, what focus! I'm here at work reading the DIS ;) I think I'll get my fix tonight filling out our on-line check in. Has anyone else done that yet?

Happy Tuesday!
