Hi tksbaskets!! We have been to:
May 2006 - Wonder 3-day
New Year's Eve Western Magic Cruise - 2006-2007 (just like you)
and Med Cruise - 10 day, June 2007

Boy we do have a similar DCL history I must admit to a bit of envy over the Med Cruise. Just couldn't swing it last year. Was it great???

So our thread isn't the most active one on the boards.....rats....

Today I received our planning packet from DCL! We are SOOoooooo excited! Going to pay off the balance by 3/24 so we can book our excursions. This is our advanced reservation date. We may even book a Palo brunch although we've enjoyed three other cruises without a trip to Palo.

Anyone else out there get their packet?

-Gifts (like we need to spend MORE money before we go )

We got our cruise packet a few days ago and I can tell you that we have thoroughly gone through it in our 4-months-til-cruise excitement. We are a family of four with two girls aged 14 and 18. It's our second Disney Cruise and, being southern california natives and avid disneylanders, we're especially excitied since this cruise is on our coast this time!

Sorry, guys, but it looks like we're not going to be joining you on this cruise. Something came up and we can't go in June. However, we were able to transfer our ressies to a 4 night Bahama cruise on the Wonder in Oct...

We are disappointed, but at least we have a Plan B and will be able to cruise later in the year.

Yeah, I got my cruise packet! So excited! My two youngest are crossing days on their countdown calendar, and announce the number of days daily. Today we are officially at 119 days! Can't wait!

Emmalou, where is So cal are you from. We are in Mission Viejo, and I have a 14 year old boy, 10 year old boy and 4 year old girl.

We live in Torrance which is by the beach, north of the port, south of LAX. So that's quite a bit away from you guys.

I just made my shore excursion and Palo reservation. This will be our fourth Disney Cruise and DH and I have never eaten there. Will try it out for brunch on our third sea day.

Anyone else make reservations?

Hi guys! I was one of the orignal posters back like a year ago. I haven't been posting as we were dealing with my mom's illness and now her passing. I am really looking forward to the cruise to get our minds' off things. It will be me and my ds(12). This is our second Disney Mexico Cruise and our 3rd Disney Cruise. We didn't cruise last year and boy did we miss it. We live in Ca and go to Disney almost monthly. I am glad to be back and able to post. We picked our excursions and will be doing the Beach Break in Cabo, we did that in '05 and loved it. We are doing the dolphin thing in PV but not the swim, the adventure I think its called. My son is not real confident in his swimming and he did fine last time with the adventure and he's got to be two feet taller (or am I shrinking? LOL). I can't remember what we are doing in Mat. We did the Ranch Party fiesta last time and he wasn't excited about the Pinata three years ago so...

This will be our first Disney Cruise and we are all excited. I have been scouring the internet for tips. If any one out there has any ideas, I would be much appreciative. My boys will be 6 (almost) and 3 (birthday on the boat!). I did hear if I brought white Tshirts to the front desk upon boarding the characters would sign the shirt. These are the types of tidbits I am looking for. Thanks so much!

So sorry to hear about your mom's passing. My mom died in 2006 and I still feel the loss. The cruise will be a nice break for you. My sons are 17 so I hear you about shrinking Glad to have you back posting. Not a real chatty group but it is nice to 'talk' to others going on our cruise

Welcome! We had connecting 8's on our last cruise but they were booked for this cruise. NOW I know who got them Are you on deck 7 forward in our rooms 7504 & 7506?? no need to answer that but if you are you will LOVE the location. If so, bring sun glasses for your family for the lifeboat drill - especially the little ones who stand in front. The muster station for these rooms is very sunny.

We have connecting rooms on deck 6 which are category 7. Connecting is a must for us. WAHOO!

We are on deck 6, 6024, 6026. Forward. there is a review of one of the rooms but it is from 1998. We are scheduled for palo on Tues night, but the more I read, the more I am afraid that would be Golden Mickeys. It is also the only day, other than the first day that there is a reservation left-- there must be something I don't know. I had a different day chosen then forgot to hit the submit button and lost it!!!!! oh well, there will be many more cruises in our future if half of what we hear about this one is true!

Oh yes, there will be many more This is our fourth Disney Cruise. We have never been to Palo but we booked it for brunch one day for this cruise. I didn't miss it on other cruises because we love dinner with the boys. This time we decided to see what all the fuss was about.
