**June 2024 Check-in**

Is anyone having trouble making their theme park reservations? I made them earlier and cancelled one because I wanted to switch the park and it wouldn’t let me modify and now it won’t let me make any 😡. I friggen hate the website sometimes

I had a hard time earlier this morning too. I had to cancel old reservations and upload new tickets and make new reservations. I called Disney, waited on hold, etc. etc. Eventually it just let me make my new park reservations around 11am.

Someone on this thread or another thread suggested trying a different web browser? I didn't do that but maybe that will work. Also try in the app v. laptop.

Anytime I try to go to the app it brings me to the website. 😭

Maybe I’ll have better luck tomorrow

It's super frustrating I know. The Disney IT is definitely something else... If it helps, the 2 Disney ppl I spoke with today said park reservations for June were still very available and not to worry.

Just an idea:
The DL website would freeze for me. If I logged out and logged back in, it would work again.

I tried that

And I have used the private browser. They really need to get their website in order better. It’s not like these are cheap vacations.

I have been to Disneyland 12 times with 7 different sets of grandkids. Always fun! I don't think they have a dining package for fireworks. The only way to get reserved fireworks seating is with a VIP tour. They do offer a package at Tomorrowland Terrace but it is not really a good view of the fireworks from most reports. The best view is from in front of the castle or main street. When we watch from there I am tagged with the job to stake out a spot for 2 to 3 hours beforehand and everyone else joins me about 30 minutes before the show. I have watched from Small World area with much less waiting and hassle. It is a good show but I feel like I have to keep turning my head back and forth. The easiest way to see fireworks is staying in place after watching Fantasmic from one of its dining package locations. I love Fantasmic and every set of grandkids did too. I would recommend you try one of its dining packages. Blue Bayou is my favorite (and most expensive) and may be sold out for your dates but we were never disappointed when we went to RiverBelle or a grab and go package.
Thank you so much for this helpful information!

Can’t believe June is just around the corner! Getting very excited!

Same here! I've been really sick these last few weeks but I think I'm finally starting to improve so I can start getting more excited. We leave 2 weeks from tomorrow!

I hope you feel better soon! We leave the same day and are very excited. I’ve been on leave from work since I had foot surgery, so a little nervous about amping up the walking but just happy to be going! It’s what’s helped make these two months go by.

I'm nervous about all the walking too since I have been so inactive the last few weeks. We'll just have to take things super slow.

I got my first bout of plantar fasciitis about a month ago. Still bothers me and the only thing that helps as rest so I’m doing that as much as possible 😬

I have three weeks for it to get better 🤞🏻

I leave in less than 3 weeks. I know the weather is calling for 70s during the day and 60s overnight. Coming from the east coast, it will actually be cooler at DL than here at home. What do people wear in June? Jeans or shorts? For WDW, I usually wear shorts and tank tops, but this sounds more like jeans/leggings. Is it actually warm enough to wear shorts all day but maybe wear a jacket morning or evening?

Last time I went was June 2022. I sweat my butt off. Wore shorts and t-shirts the whole time.
But we don't go to the parks early or stay late so it's pretty hot during the hours we're there.

In the past, I recall needing a sweatshirt when the sun went down sometimes, depending on the year, but I still almost exclusively wear shorts in June.

Good to know! Thank you so much!

What is the bug situation at DL? Will we need bug spray when we are in the parks at night? We're coming from the Midwest where the mosquitos are already out!

East coaster here too! Even the same temp feels cooler in Anaheim since it doesn't have the humidity. We went last June and I had on leggings and sweatshirts in the morning/evening and shorts midday. I always start off with a light sweatshirt or at least bring one with me. If you're doing WOC, I was pretty chilly and had on leggings and a spirit jersey. I hate the heat so I would much rather have Anaheim 75 than Charlotte 75 😅
