June 2017 Disneyland Check In!!!

I was a little surprised to see EMH for California Adventure start at 8 am instead of 7 am in June, especially on Saturday and Sunday. I was hoping to start the day at California Adventure from 7 am to 7:45 am to knock out a few of the big ticket rides and then go over to Disneyland right before it opens and still be able to ride a few of the Fantasyland rides (not Peter Pan) before those lines get real crazy. This strategy worked well for us in November last year. This year so far, they have Disneyland opening at the same time as CA's EMH.

I hadn't noticed that either - that was our plan for our first day in the parks sunday morning... hmmm

I am in the minority and I wish the park didn't open until 10am like when we go in the winter...ha! With our son, I know we won't get the parks early at all so by the time we get there, lines will already be long. But that's life. We'll make the best of it.

Count me in for a June trip I will be there June 15th to the 23rd. Staying at the Fairfield Inn. 5 days of Disney, 1 day of Knotts and 1 beach day. Just me and my mini me.

I don't know what I'd do with myself, if that was the case. I'm normally up and around by 7am. Moving from the east coast to west coast that would put me up at 4am with nothing to do until 10am. :)

I just read on Mice Chat's Rumor Update that Carsland will be closing at 4pm on June 10th for a special event around the Cars 3 premiere.

I would love for Tom Sawyer's Island to open that first weekend of June! Our last day at DL will be Saturday, 6/3. We absolutely love Tom Sawyer's Island.

Today we bought the rest of our DL tickets needed for our trip! Plus a parking pass for the last day at the parks since we'll have to move our car out of the hotel lot on check out day. PLUS I bought the 1-week PhotoPass+ (it's $78 in case anybody's interested; I think the 3-day one is $39?).

And I'm about to book World of Color dessert party for Tuesday evening, 5/30...first day in the parks! YAY!!

We're being crazy and booking a last-minute (for us) trip to Southern California 6/2-9. Spending a couple of days exploring LA (our first time), a couple of days exploring Sequoia National Park, and three days at DLR! We're definitely a WDW family, so we're anxious and excited to visit DLR. Might change, but currently booked at Camelot Inn.

I am starting to get nervous about Fast Pass Max. We don't want to use it. But I am still hoping it is released well before our trip so I can figure out if it will have an impact on us at all. But as time keeps ticking on and they haven't introduced it...I'm worried it will start right when we arrive.

Yeah, that's been my concern all along. I can't say for sure if I'd pay to use it, but no matter what I'd really like to see some time between when it's implemented and when we arrive. That or it not happen until after we leave, which means July for us.

So, my wife really wants to go see Jason Mraz at the Hollywood Bowl in June. For us from Portlnad that means a lot of expence for a concert. Well, as soon as she said, "yes we can go to Disney too" I was in! We will fly in early June 21st and head trait for the park for the day! Super excited. Just one day, but I will get to see MSEP, which will be gone by the time our Christmas trip rolls around. I splurged and got us one night at the GCH as well, so it will be a fun 24hours!

Then off to Hollywood for 2 days and a concert then home. Should be a whirl wind of fun! See ya'll there!!!!! :cool1::earboy2:

I am less than 30 days from departure :hyper: as we are going to Hawaii first and stopping in Disneyland on the way back. It's 37 days til Disneyland but who is counting?!

We will be arriving on Sunday, June 4 (flight lands around 6:00 am) so I don't think we'll make it for park opening coming from LAX and checking in at the Grand Californian - both parks open to Disneyland Resort Hotel guests at 8:00 that day since DCA has EMH and DL opens at 8. Is it still best to do Alice and Matterhorn first even if we arrive at 8:30 or even afterward? Our must-dos are the attractions unique to DL versus WDW. That means we're not worried about Dumbo, Peter Pan is a "maybe" for us, and even though it's unique, the Nemo Submarine would freak me out I think. Or would we be better off heading to DCA immediately and see if they are distributing RSR fp during EMH? (Haven't seen any reports from very recently about whether that was still happening).

Here are my plans, please feel free to comment/critique/chime in!
Sunday: Get to park as early as possible. Lunch reservation at Cafe Orleans 12:30, dinner to be achieved via a lounge crawl at Trader Sam's/Whitewater Snacks/Hearthstone Lounge/Steakhouse 55 Lounge. See fireworks if we are not dead tired.
Monday: Rope drop DCA to do RSR (or MAYBE run to Guardians of the Galaxy if we got on RSR on Sunday). Try to get FP for afternoon for RSR. Cove Bar for lunch. 8:30 pm Napa Rose Chef's Counter reservation to celebrate my 30th birthday
Tuesday: EMH at Disneyland at 7:00 AM. Eat light/early lunch around 11 at Jolly Holiday or share one fried chicken plate at Plaza Inn. Take a break to switch hotels and rest. Around 3-4, whenever we are back in the park hit Carthay Circle for "lupper" (will I need a reservation at this time of day?). Enjoy attractions, see "Sh-Boom" neon lightup at Carsland if possible, WOC dessert party (WOC at 9:45, what time does the dessert party actually start? The website said 9:00)
Wednesday: Start at DL at rope drop, re-ride what we loved and hit what we missed, leave for airport at 1:30-2

I did my first reservation today - Cafe Orleans. We are last week of June so most of you will be there long before us!

I am really looking forward now. :)

We're there the last week, too. So far we've got a Monday lunch reservation at Blue Bayou, a Tuesday lunch reservation at Cafe Orleans and we decided to bite the bullet on the World of Color dessert party on Tuesday night. We're waiting now to make a River Belle Terrace lunch reservation for Friday and that will be it for us, as far as reservations go. I'm with you, it feels more real to have confirmation numbers in hand.

I just read on Mice Chat's Rumor Update that Carsland will be closing at 4pm on June 10th for a special event around the Cars 3 premiere.

The Schedule is up for that day and DCA closes at 9 instead of 10 and is the park with early entry that morning instead of the usual Disneyland. I thought that was weird but then remembered your post and figured that was the reason. We will be there the next 3 days so I'm curious to see if it changes anything else, since that makes several DCA early entry days in a row and not any at DL.

Our first day of our big June trip is June 11. I wonder if they'll have some of the new cars as part of a promo or something. My kids love all the Cars movies and there's a special place in my heart for the first of the Cars franchise, so it's pretty exciting stuff. I can't wait to see if there will be anything special that week. I'm also curious how it may change traffic flow in the parks.

Add us to the list. Arriving Sunday June 4th, staying at the Anaheim Fairfield Inn. 4 days for Disney, 1 day Universal and 1 free day. There will be 14 of us total, my daughter and I have been twice before and others will be making their 1st or 2nd visit. A question I have, and I apologize if this has already been mentioned on this tread or another, but are the local and surrounding school districts still in session the first couple of weeks in June?
