JUNE 2015 Discount Watch

I'm not sure where we will be staying yet until I get a response from our DVC point rental request. (I'm VERY anxious)

We will probably be sporting the anniversary buttons too. Ours is June 7th and it's DGS (age 2)'s first visit.

We were going to try renting DVC points but we are both in a wedding, have 3 others very soon and are going to Florida in a month and couldn't put out so much money that quickly. We will be better prepared next time!

Our 10 year anniversary of dating is on June 5th! We started quite young haha... I am not sure DBF remembers exactly what day it is since we really don't tend to make a huge deal out of things (doesn't bother me...now a wedding anniversary is different!), but I will be sure to stick a button on him this time :rotfl:

PS happy early anniversary!!

Those are our exact dates too!

:dance3:Maybe we will see you there LOL! I wish WDW would hurry up and let us know about any discounts, I haven't booked our room yet, but ADR day is fast approaching. We are going with or without a discount :dance3:

That's how we feel too. A discount would be nice, but come heck or high water I am still going! Actually, we've never gone with a discount before! Just because I don't think we really had much knowledge of when they would be released, etc.

This is getting harder to keep secret from my kids. They have started asking about where they can have their bday parties this year... I want to say umm Disney but that would ruin it. June 13 can't get here soon enough.. LOL

It's worth it, I promise! When I was little my parents and grandma surprised me with a trip and it was magical. Of course the other times were just as great, but the surprise element was so fun!

I have my park days tentatively planned out. Now to wait for ADR day :cool1:

I hope this isn't a "dumb" question but how do you go about planning park days? I need to do this before it's time to make ADRs and I haven't a clue?:confused3

Any/all helpful tips would be greatly appreciated.

There are six of us. The children are ages 8 and 3. Haven't booked our resort yet. Hoping for some kind of discount and have a request in to rent DVC points (fingers crossed).

Have you been before?

Our favorite park is Magic Kingdom, so we plan more days there. We usually do 2 to 3 days at MK, 1 to 2 days at Epcot and 1 day at AK, and 1 day at HS. This year will be a little harder for me to plan, because we are planning on going to the 2 waterparks, so I am trying to work that in.(we have never done the WPs)

It will be hot, and I see you have little ones, so you may want to plan a midday break back to the resort to nap, rest or cool off at the pool.

I pick my days based on the recommended days (from the link we were discussing a page back)

I personally don't like to park hop, but now that my son is older, it would be easier to do. (my husband wants me to get the park hopper this year)

You do need to have a plan, if you want to make any ADRs in a park, and at 60 days out, you need to make your FP selections.

I haven't booked my room yet either, but I am still going to make my ADRs at 180 days out. I like doing my Table Service dining for lunch, that way we can go where we want in the pm, and not be tied down to our plans...and do Counter Service for dinner. (but that's just me, some like to do a nice dinner ADR)

have you been to easywdwdotcom? they just listed the June Best days - if you go to the right hand side you will see some great blog type posts that are so helpful, as well as "cheat sheets" to help plan!

He also did a great post on the difference between his best days and touring plans - very thorough and has helped me a great deal - plus, its free!

I used the hours from the above mentioned site. Just keep in mind, they do sometimes adjust the hours.

Just booked our flights, so booking our package tomorrow with AAA. June 30-July 7 at Disney. Hoping for at least a little discount!

I just booked our flights also, 6/2-6/16. Talked with a CM and she said she did not know of any promotions or discounts yet. So I have a tentative off property rental. But I do have all our ADR's done

Waiting for discounts for June 4-June13! Any ideas when they come out? Spring maybe?
