Nice! You are serious!I just have a figure in my head that I am unwilling to go over, and as long as I can hit that with at least a 25% discount, we are good to go. I am buying up as many Disney GCs as I can with my Target Red Card and with that I will get another 5% off whatever discount we do wind up getting.

Hello, I think we just decided on the week of June 8th-15th...about 10 mins ago. My wife made a career change a few years back and became a teacher, so now our windows of opportunity are greatly limited. The beginning of June doesn't look horrible on the crowd calendar though, so we are excited.
We normally go in the Fall/Winter, and we always got some sort of deal, whether it was free dining or just a room discount. So now I am trying to decide between waiting for a code/deal, or renting DVC points. So historically, are there usually some deals in June? I know there always seem to be deals in the Fall.
Sorry if this information is in the thread, I haven't read it all yet, but I will. We are just excited and I wanted to post...
Thanks,
Andy
ScottMel, your signature says NEVER go back to Disney in the summer again LOL Is it really that bad? We haven't been during the summer months for YEARS. Partly because we remember how hot it was and partly because my husbands work picks up in the summer and we hate for him to miss the OT.
Next year we're planning on taking a short weekend trip for Star Wars weekend though, to celebrate my daughters graduation. What am I getting myself in to (we're usually late September/mid October travelers).
That is the exact week I have gone the last 4 summers in a row! This year we are going later in June just to not feel so rushed iwth school letting out and then taking off. Historically that week you are going is 30 or 25% off. Discounts usually come out end of year early January and historcially extend to the 14th and then the next wave is 15th on droppping a few percent 15th on....
scottmel : do you know if the past room discounts included the first week of June? We're planning for June 1-8, but I can change it if I have to in order to get the discount.....
2009 Was the buy 4/get 3
2010 was 35%
2011 was 30% (I believe maybe 35 but I don't this so)
2012 was 30% (or maybe 25 )
The sale goes until the 14th. To get anything past the 14th that won't release historically until you vacation is almost here - likeApril or MAy....But that first week will be the spring/early summer deal....Discoutns have hedged down bit after bit each year.....
You are my new best friend!!!I'm so excited to read this!! I've been budgeting for as little as a 20% code, but if we can get a 30% or even a 25%, I'll be thrilled with that. Now if only they would start releasing the 2013 Discounts!! They're killing me! I think someone said that it was like November that they released something that included June dates. I hope that is true. I hate booking without any kind of discount.

I personally wouldn't bank on anything past 25% IMO. But if you book now with AAA at 10 - 18% then a slight bump when the sale released will help.....
Buget for 20 and be pleasantly surprised otherwise!
I totally agree....we're actually budgeting for the 20% and keeping our fingers crossed!!
According to mousesavers, the discounts for mid-April through June 14 2012 were released in November 2011, and then it looks like they were extended through March 2012! They weren't released for June 2011 until April 2011 - the torture!! (although package discounts were available earlier)
Let's hope we can be as lucky as the folks booking for this June - it would be SO great to have reservations secured by November!!
Don't want to jinx things though.Disney Discount Gods - we will take what we can get (as long as it is at least 25%)!

Does anyone know when the SWW dates will be released? We have to see what weekend they will be held in June so we can book![]()
