June 2013 pin code watch !

According to mousesavers, the discounts for mid-April through June 14 2012 were released in November 2011, and then it looks like they were extended through March 2012! They weren't released for June 2011 until April 2011 - the torture!! (although package discounts were available earlier)

Let's hope we can be as lucky as the folks booking for this June - it would be SO great to have reservations secured by November!!

Don't want to jinx things though. :worship: Disney Discount Gods - we will take what we can get (as long as it is at least 25%)!:worship:

Remember also, that public discounts are lower than pins offered to individuals. There were pins for upwards of 40% off during 2012 stay no blackouts (people reported getting these as early as December 2011). This was not public and not on mousesavers as a result.

Don't forget to keep watching for pins! I know I will message this board the MOMENT I get one (fingers crossed) that works for June (whether I use it or not) so that we can all call Disney and see if have one too!

People also reported getting free dining offers for June 2012 and none of these discounts went out to the public.

If you are relying on general public discounts, no reason to be on a "pin code watch," you know?

I understand the difference, and I am on the lookout for both - just trying to be an informed consumer.

I am trying/hoping for a pin with a better discount, but willing to settle for a gen public discount. I am trying to be realistic - I can't pin (pun intended) all my vacation hopes on getting a 40% pin that may not materialize, you know what I mean?? I know that the general public RO discounts are likely to be around 25% and I am totally OK with whatever discount (pin or otherwise) that we can get.

My family is planning our trip from June 2-9 next year and I haven't decided if I should just book it and possibly get a discount later or just wait to book. We've never gone in the summer before. Usuallly we're there in October or January so I'm excited to do a June trip. As it looks right now we'll be driving down there from Milwaukee, which my wife isn't excited about. Oh well, we'll just watch the original Vacation right before we leave :thumbsup2

We're planning on driving down from the Chicago suburbs, so we'll be right along with you on that long drive! Same week too. :cool1:

I noticed this will be your first trip with kids. My wife and I have gone with and without kids. I really enjoy the trips with just my wife and I, but there's nothing like sharing the magic with your kids.

Joining in!! It looks like we'll be going in June again this next year as well. Hopefully, there are some great discounts for June. This year, my DH found the room only and he said that it was just too good to pass up. It was the hottest thing he has ever done.

I wish we'd hear SOMETHING about discounts already!! I'm on pins and needles!!! :crazy2: And I'm making my DH INSANE!!!

Well maybe our DHs can share a room in a mental institution b/c I'm doing the same to my DH.

My husband and I went probably 8 years ago by ourselves and had a great trip. You are right though - there will be something special about this trip. I am so excited to see everything through their eyes for the first time. :thumbsup2

Please tell me that I didn't make a mistake. We are staying at POFQ in June. I normally wait to make my reservation until the discount comes out around Jan or Feb. This year since they started booking so early (July), I was afraid that if I waitied until the first of the year POFQ wouldn't have availability since it is so small. I guess my main concern is that the CM who I booked through assured me that it would in no way effect my chances of getting a free dining pin if I went ahead and booked my dining plan, because the pins are totally random.
Now I am panicking! Should I call and tell them to remove the dining plan and then call to add it later after I get a pin or discoutn? :confused3

I would at least cancel the dining until you have to make ADRs. I have only gotten a pin code when I had a reservation once. I now wait to make mine when I get a pin or there's a good offer.

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Thank goodness I'm not alone!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I talk to him about it every day. I think it's pretty fair, since I have had to listen to hours and hours of him talk about step by step details of what his hunter did in a World of Warcraft raid, or hours and hours about the Civil War.

My husband gets excited about the trips when we're a month or two out....other than that he just goes to work everyday and acts like it's not a reality until we're within 60 days LOL

My hubby doesn't get excited until we are almost at WDW.

Some husbands are just the opposite. My family is rolling their eyes because almost every night I'm talking about our Disney trip NEXT JUNE! Where would you like to eat? What park should we visit first? Is my 11 year old son finally going to ride Space Mountain? What princess meal are we taking our daughter to? What shows should we see? Where should my wife and I go on our date night?

My 14 year old son asked me the other day, "dad, how are you going to make it through the next 9 months?" I just told him I'll be on the Disboards, and I'll watch all of the Disney Parks specials on Netflix over and over, and I'll visit Allears.net and Mousejunkies, and I'll read every word of the Unofficial Guide, and I'll reread every word of the complete Walt Disney World, and I'll.................:)

Well right now, my DH just keeps saying that he just took me back to WDW and he says it'll be at least the same amount of time between the trip we just went on and the next trip that we had between the last two trips. We went this last June, and before that we hadn't been since October 2006. When he says that, I just pat him on the head and say, "what ever Beavis (one of the many nick names I have for him)" and then continue talking about stuff that I want to do different on this next trip.

Jumping aboard this thread! As you can see by my ticker, we were originally planning on going the last week of August in 2013. But this week is the week we'd be gone next year, and with school starting the day after Labor Day, I can't imagine being on a huge vacation this time next year with school starting so soon. Plus its a busy time at work right now too always.

So, if a good enough discount were to come along, I'd like to move up our trip to June, right after the kids get out of school...so ideally June 7 or 8. I know discounts in summer are few and far between...but here's hoping!

Happy planning everyone!

We just made our first move toward our June trip today. We applied for the Southwest card to get the free 50,000 points to book airfare. We were originally planning on driving from MD. Then I tallied up the cost to drive and it was honestly only about $100 or so cheaper than flying. Then I found out about the Southwest deal and we couldn't pass it up. Can't wait! I'm probably driving DH crazy with all this but I can't help it. It's not only DD11's first trip but mine too!!!

We aren't going to book until we receive some sort of discount though. We're not married to one resort. We have POR in mind but are open to whatever is available too.

We are planning on going the last week of May but if a June special offer or pin code comes out, we are flexible.
