June 2011 Check-In!

Pixiewings, have you stayed there before, and if so, what do you like about the Peacock? You must have a car, unless it's within walking distance? Or maybe you take the shuttle? I'm thinking we'll stick with the ones across harbor, but I'm always curious about the further ones..

Yup, we've stayed there many times. We own with Shell so we use the Peacock until our points are gone, then we stay closer. We drive and park, we have a Premium AP just for that reason. We like it fine, it's not as nice as other Shell properties we've stayed at (no kitchen, more like a hotel layout) but we like it just fine. We've taken ART previously from there but it's so full by the time it gets to the Peacock we have to stand, and I just really get bugged by adults who don't offer their seats to women and children...I would refuse, I can stand, but when the girls were younger (like 7 and 10) and no one offered a seat I was upset by that, I always offered my seat to the eldery or to kids. Anyway, we prefer to drive so we made sure to get a Premium AP just for the parking.

I just got on Disneyland.com and our first day is up!!!! Yay!! I can finally start fitting in the entertainment 54 days

So glad all of our days are up and we can finally plan all of our days!!! So excited can't wait for it to get here. It will be our first trip...you can add me to the list. My mom is actually perrinej we are going together staying at Fairfield Inn June 10th-18th! Long trip planned with lots to do!!!

We have just put it all together, but it's been in the works for a couple months now.

We're going June 24-26, there will be 17 of us!! We're staying at the Best Western Plus Meridian a couple miles away. Me, dh, and 2 kiddos are flying in from Kentucky (we're originally from California, DL was our honeymoon destination 19 years ago!) and meeting some other family members for a mini-reunion. We've been WDW fanatics for nearly 19 years now because of proximity, but we're really looking forward to returning to DL.

not sure what "Shell" is Pixiewings, is that a timeshare company? We will probably stick with the ones that are within walking distance, don't want to put up with being smashed on a shuttle with others...been there, done that. Nice that you drive yourselves!

We have stayed at the Fairfield several times and liked it, and apparently it's being renovated right now with new carpet, flat screens, bedding, and they've painted too! It should be nice. I'm debating for us to stay there again!

Dawn, sounds like a great trip, and wow, 17 of you? That should be fun coordinating schedules! This will be our 3rd trip to DL in a row, I want to go to WDW next time!! Have FUN!!

abbie, we will be there (DL) before you, May 30-June 3, then heading up the coast for a short trip, then back again in the Anaheim area from June 7-10 before heading home, so if we decide to stay there, I will have to post pics for you to see (hee hee) but if we don't, I'd love to see yours for sure!! Right now I have us booked at the BWPPI, it's right across the street which would be nice, but at the same time, I'd love to try the reno'd rooms at the FFI!! Which part of Missouri are you from, btw? My inlaws are originally from Palmyra!

I will be at the PPH June 6 - June 11, Doubletree Orange June 11 - 16. (Got a good deal on Priceline but definitely not what I was aiming for!)

Kerri... You need to stay through June 6 about 4-5pm... we can do a late lunch/early dinner and then you can leave LOL!

I would LOVE to Paula...unfortunately I have to be back at work on the 6th. And Micah has no more time off, between the Disney trips and DD23's wedding in August we are all vacationed out! I'm lucky my new boss is awesome and is letting me take time off so soon after starting!! YOU should come earlier.....

If I could come sooner I would! I have to work the weekend before my trip. There are already 2 people on vacation so it's not possible. As it is I am going right after I get off work on Monday the 6th.

We will be there for our annual DLR Thank God its Vacation Time Trip!! Our dates are finally set..June 5-9 and we will be staying at FFI in a themed room. This will be our first stay at FFI so I am hoping it will be nice!! Now then..bring on the summer promo tickets!!!

If I could come sooner I would! I have to work the weekend before my trip. There are already 2 people on vacation so it's not possible. As it is I am going right after I get off work on Monday the 6th.

Total bummer!!!! Altho I have to say...I think it's slightly ironic that in reality we live about 2 hours apart and here we are trying to plan a meet at DL! LOL We need to get a Nor Cal meet together and just be done with it.

I live in a little town called Higginsville. It's about 50 miles east of Kansas City MO.
