June 2009 Code Watch - Line up, it's time!

I'm here in OH too! So, you have to tell me how I can get my DH's work to have work at Disney! Somehow I don't think that's going to happen though.

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

a little pixie dust your way :thumbsup2 this is the first time I was ever able to travel with him..I felt sooo spoiled :cloud9:

I just booked a room at the Swan for the first part of our trip but looking to book AKL june 14 - 17. guess i better get a reservation? we have only gone to WDW in off-season so i'm a bit nervous about summer crowds

Hi, we are planning June too, at least for a couple days (it'll be both my boys first trip to WDW they are young though). We may be planning for december of next year too, but will be in Florida in June for a graduation, so we feel we can't go all that way without stopping in to see the mouse. :-) Would love some discount codes, is AAA worth it (especially if we plan to do two trips next year)? I've seen mixed things on it.

I just booked POR for June with AAA discount applied, I only saved $4/night! But, someone on a AAA thread, said that AAA hasn't put out their codes for June. I'm planning on calling back after the first of the year and find out about additional codes. It really wasn't worth my $50 I paid to join AAA, but I can use the discount at other hotels.

Subscribing.. Planning a trip with Sister and Grandmother 3 week in June.. It will be a first for both of them!!! So excited :yay:

lmillercrew; did you book through Disney or AAA? Going through Disney for a moderate you should have received a 15% discount off of the standard rack rates with a AAA discount. We are staying at the WL with a AAA discount and it's a 10% savings.

will be there first half of june for wife's b-day. saving some money means more gifts for her.

I booked through Disney. Do I need to call back and talk to a different person? I was a little surprised that I was only saving $4/night. Would the time of year that I'm going make a difference? Any insight you have would be great!

I would definetly call back and check again. Typically a AAA discount for a moderate is 10-15% off of the rack rate in June. As I stated before we received a 10% discount for a deluxe (WL) for June 2009.

I'll be calling back tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes. I was surprised at how little I saved. Thanks for the heads up.
I'll let you know.

We are hoping to mosey that way May 30th - June 6th. Would love to see the 40% off code that is making its way across Canada head over the border and into my email box. :thumbsup2 Wishful thinking.

if you get that code, wow, I would want one of those too. :thumbsup2 We think we are going to make June our big trip after all. It'll be our fifth anniversary and we celebrated our honeymoon there, so that will be cool if we can be there on our anniversary day. Regardless I'm just happy to take my boys for their first trip :yay:

O.K. Grumpy3. Here's the deal with my room. I called CRO today to inquire as to why I saved so little on my room with AAA. I had THE most fabulous CM! She told me that Disney does not have a flat percentage amt for AAA. But, she said that she would look at it a little more. I told her that I had a "friend" who was saving about 10%. So, when she looked at my reservation, she noticed that my original CM had my oldest DD17 listed as an adult on the reservation. So, that would put us as 3 adults in the room! Extra charge for that. DD doesn't turn 18 until Sept. My original cost of the room was w/o any discounts was $179 w/AAA it's now $166. Savings of $13/night (approx)!! I'll take it. It's better than my original $4.
So here's the deal now. Original total $1857 New total $1706. So, my change was a difference of $151. Not sure all of the numbers, but I'm happy with the new total.
Thanks for having me call! Now, let's just hope for a code and we'll all save more money!

Congratulations on your additional savings! Now we all need to focus positive thoughts about Disney offering additional discounts for our vacations next year! I'm hoping for a room only code for our time slot!
