June 2009 Code Watch - Line up, it's time!

We booked a AAA discount standard view room at the WL for $261/night vs $291/night rack rate (does not include tax). I paid $61.25 for the basic AAA one year membership and saved $246.96 (factoring in less tax on the lower room rate) on this trip, plus I saved another $15 on some Amtrak tickets for another trip this fall; so far my net savings after the cost of membership is roughly $200. I just call Disney Resevations at 407-939-6244 to book this each year that we go. Although one year I bought one AP to get the AP room only discount because that was a better deal. We haven't done a package because they don't work for us, so I'm not sure if you can book a AAA discount package this way or not.

Grumpy3,
Thanks for the info. To do a AAA package you need to go through a AAA agent, which is what we have done previously. WL is where I would like to stay next time if I can't pull of a value and Poly split stay.

Have a great day all.

It is my DD's 13th B-Day so now I am a father of 2 teenage princesses! :scared1: :scared1: I need a Disney vacation.:goodvibes

Any other June folks out there hoping the abundance of discounts for the rest of the year continue in some form till next June.

Yes, I certainly hope there are discounts for us June DISers!!! I guess it will depend on the economy and if the bookings are down. My fingers are crossed that we will receive some type of discount. Our oldest son just started college so we need all the help we can get!!! :thumbsup2

I have my fingers, toes and everything else crossed that signing up for the new birthday promo will generate a June pin code for us :wizard:

Just booked 6 nights in June. Would sure love to stay longer and it would help if I had a code! I asked if there was a code attatched to my name, but alas, NO! I used AAA, but I only saved $4/night. What a joke. Here's to hoping.

We are heading back in June 2009 as well for a week with the kids, after surviving the 90's in September, I am not afraid of the heat anymoe.

We going in June 09 also. We usually go in August, but are looking forward to celebrating our Anniversary there.

Right now we are booked at the Fort Wilderness Cabins (also a first) for June 20 - July 1, 2009 with deluxe dining.

I know, I know, why book the cabins if we are on the dining plan and vice versa, but I like the idea of the home away from home the cabins seem to have, and I'm on vacation, I DON'T WANT TO COOK....lol. The kitchen will still come in handy for snacks, milk, juices, etc.

Also we will be checking in before the little guy turns 3, nice planning lol, and will be celebrating his birthday while we are there.

Right now we have AAA discount, maybe something better will come along.

How likely do you think it is to have free dining offered for the first couple weeks of June? I don't think it has ever been done has it?
Also, is anything specific going on from June 5-13th?
Thanks.:cheer2:

glad to see some other folks awaiting for june

we plan on going to my neice's grad party (in FL) then what i hope will be about a 10 day stay at WDW. we'll see what kind of rates we can get

i just got home yesterday from an impromptu trip with DH as he had a conference for work at GF. that is the only way we can stay at GF but it was heavenly. getting back to my point, on monday omgosh it was sooo muggy in the morning i thought i could cut it with a knife. i live in Ohio so we get alot of humidity but this was horrible! got into the mid-80s as well. there was a good long rain, long enough to walk from America to front of EPCOT, change monorails at TTC and starting to simmer down after we got in our rooms. from what i read about FL rain, that was a pretty long time!

I'm here in OH too! So, you have to tell me how I can get my DH's work to have work at Disney! Somehow I don't think that's going to happen though. Dangit!!:sad1: I'm still hoping for some great rates. My AAA discount was for crap. Didn't even seem worth the money I paid to join. Oh well, that's why there's the DIS, right?

We are also planning a June vacation. If I can get a decent code for Pop Century, I'd like to add a couple of days at the Poly.:goodvibes
