June 18, 2011 - 11 Night Mediterranean Sailing from Barcelona

We will also be on the 9:50 flight leaving Frankfurt and arriving 11:45 in Barcelona. Maybe we'll run into each other!

We may be on the same flight That would be great. For some reason, we don't have seat assignments on that leg of our trip. Hopefully everything goes well. So looking forward to a GREAT vacation.

Hello, Has the nature of the FE been decided...i.e. a larger item for the family as a whole, with some special goodies for the kids...or each member of the family get their own.... also if we deliver the items daily, or on a rotational basis? Just trying to figure out how much stuff to bring along ....

My understanding was that it was up to you (the individual) to decide what to do--I hope so since I'm doing one big gift with lots of parts.

Yes I had problems entering the flight info also. I called DCL and they helped me over the phone. Actually they entered the info for me.

Hi everyone.... I have been so out of the loop. I have not had any time to even read all of the posts but I have just spent a few minutes reading the last few pages and am getting really exciited about our cruise. We have just sold our house in Maryland and will be packing and moving to the Seattle area after the cruise. I've lived in MD my whole life so it's a big move for me. My DH has been in Seattle since mid May while I show the house and tie things up here. My DDs 9 and 7 have been great keeping everything neat while we show the house and they are ready to begin their summer. DH comes home on June 15 to pack and then we leave for Barcelona on the 16th to arrive on the17th. I'm ready to get away and relax. I plan to read more of the posts tonight and catch up

I bought a bunch of stuff to give to the kids, but I don't think I will be able to fit it into the suitcase. I re vamped what I am giving people. I am planning to give out 1 or two family gifts and a few kids gifts.

When I went to the DCL website to cxl my spa appointment (can't bring myself to pay 18% VAT on top of the already high price) I noticed that Palo now had a party of four reservation available (that's what I need).

So my question is, what do you think they will do about our port switch of Naples and Rome? Will the dinner and show follow the port and switch as well or will they remain the same as the first 11 night cruise? Not a big deal, just curious.

Thanks, I called and they had to do this for me too even though they said I wasn't doing anything wrong

Not good about the 18% VAT as we are EU residents we can't claim this back

Interesting question about dinner / show. I guess we won't know until we board as no other sailing had a port switch so far
