I am not going on the cruise. My mom was diagnosed with brain cancer yesterday. I am in the process of trying to move the date instead of losing all of the money I paid. I told her that we will go on a cruise once she is better. I feel like I am living in some bad soap opera.

I am sad that I won't get to meet you all. Thank you for your support. Most importantly, Have a great time! Spend time with your loved ones and count your blessings.

Jeremy, I will mail you some money for the wrist bands.

Tracie - do NOT worry about the money for the wrist bands. Use them as a visual reminder that brighter days are ahead and as something to look forward to in the future. They are my gift (small as it is) to you.

I am terribly sad that we won't be meeting you two on this trip, but I'd love to know when you do go ahead and book again. Your dedication to your mother reminds me of my relationship with my mother...and I and my family would love to meet you both. We're going to Alaska with Disney next year...should you still be looking for a new date for your rescheduled cruise!

We will keep you and your mother in our prayers - for recovery, strength, and moments of joy and laughter - during this tough fight ahead.

I don't know how much tech your mom is into, but while I was going through cancer, I found planetcancer.com. It was a great support website, you join and make a profile and you can talk to other people going through similar treatments. It really helped me

Thank you all so much for your support and prayers. I am walking around in a fog these past couple of days. The Dreams agents are seeing what can be done about missing the cruise. I didn't get travel insurance because I never thought we would need it. Lesson learned.

Be sure to post pictures etc. I am looking forward to reading someone's trip report. I will post the date of our new cruise when it happens. I'd love if one of you guys were on the new cruise!

Me again...

Well, I may be going on the trip but without my mom. The only options I have is to lose 50% of what I paid or do a name change for 50.00.

I will keep everyone informed as to what I plan to do. My first concern is to get my mom through the radiation this week and go from there.

I'm starting to get super excited! Went to Target today to get last minute packing things, and I'm dragging out the suitcases this week

I made up my index cards for touring plans for the week in the park last night. It seemed to totally sneak up on me!

My mom had radiosurgery on the brain tumor yesterday. She is doing very well. She is finished with treatment until the middle of June when chemo should start. We don't think she can fly because of the tumor and the pressure that it can cause on the brain.

Right now I think I am going to take my husband on the cruise. I will be going to WDW alone and he will fly in on Thurs. He is not big on cruising so this will be interesting. I am trying to get excited but it is a bit hard. I also have to try to convert my fish extender so that it is a boy and a girl mouse instead of two girls. I'm glad I didn't have them add in names.

I did buy a new dress for our Palo night. I may try to upgrade us to a cat 6 when we check in because my husband really likes the balcony.

Getting SO excited as we are at 18 days from cruise day and about 14 days from beginning our vacation! We are in the middle of refurbishing our home to put it up for sale when we return. It's been a busy weekend, for sure. My DH thinks we can be ready before we leave! HA! He's so optomistic! I'll let him live the dream!

I have to find one more suitcase for the trip and then I will start the packing as well. Anyone have a checklist?
