Jodie,
I just wanted to thank you again for encouraging me to down grade my room on the med cruise. Because of you we are able to go to Hawaii next week for a week. I am so excited.
Kathy
You're too funny!...
As long as it's NOT on disney as my brother will probably go. He has turned me down for both disney cruises we went/are going on...
BUT....here's the lowdown...he's 30 single, owns his own home and has a great job with GE:Invision. It's their airport security division. The big guns security machines our luggage goes thru behind the scenes. He's in Canada right now working on an install. He has travelled all over the world for them..actually mostly the pacific rim and canada. He's always telling them he'd go anywhere other than the pacific rim and canada..but alas they have others.
He has friends on the Royal Carribean line, so thats a push to get him.
I would love to do one that left from SF or came into SF that'd be great. Who's gonna be the leader of this? Patricia? I'll keep my eyes out and I'll let my sister know, as she organized a group for her wedding onboard the Royal Carribean Line.
Have a good night...
Steph
Thanks so much everyone for the good wishes and prayers. That meant a lot to me.
We found my aunt around 6:45 last night. Yesterday was officially the day from hell though. I can't even tell you guys the scenarios that were running through my head. I feel like I must have run a marathon yesterday, I'm just so completely drained and exhausted. The important thing is that everyone is okay and we're all going to stand behind my aunt and she's going to be okay. I am still just so confused feeling. I'm still upset, panicked, and now, sort of mad at her for her irresponsibility. I keep reminding myself, she's alive, that's what matters. Have to keep reminding myself. She has a long road ahead of her.
Hey! Don't be disappearing like that!PJ, I'm glad your aunt is OK. I'm also very sorry you had to deal with that! Hopefully she can get the help she needs. Is this your dad's or mom's sister? Does she live near them?
I'm glad you're finally enjoying Orlando. I hate to think about you being lonely. Did you read the Sisterhood book? If not, you MUST read it!!
On a more lighthearted note, I have an entire itinerary done for Alaska. I've only booked the cruise so far (Royal Caribbean from Vancouver to Seward), but I've figured out what we'll do when we get to Seward (train to Denali, etc). If you guys are really interested, I can post it for you.
Jodie
Our prayers were answered! Our group seems to have bad luck with the travel gods, but @ least we were smiled on in this case. We wish your Aunt well & hope she gets all the help she needs.
Sue
Hey! Don't be disappearing like that!
It's my dad's sister. She lives about 45 mintues from my parents.
I didn't read it yet! I just finished one book and started another one and I have a whole pile I'm wanting to read. I always have tons of books I want to read and then don't have time. It takes me forever to get them all read. It's on the pile of books though!![]()
Thanks.![]()
Hope everyone has a good weekend. Anyone have any fun weekend plans?
Ok..for all of you interested in the Alaska 2009 cruise. Here is the probable itin...
Cruise Line: Royal Caribbean
Ship: Serenede of the Seas
Depature Port/Arrival: Vancouver, BC
Length: 7 days
Ports of Call:Vancouver, British Columbia; Inside Passage (Cruising); Icy Strait Point, Alaska; Hubbard Glacier (Cruising); Skagway, Alaska; Juneau, Alaska; Vancouver, British Columbia
Suggested Dates: June 13th or June 20th (both saturdays)
These dates are not released yet, but my sister has it on good authority that those dates will be true. Additionally, she was told the best time to go was no later than June as the animals are hunting and gathering and whales are out. After June, not so much. We've done alot of research on the ports and they offer a variety of ship activites. Looking at the other itineraries, this seemed to be the most varied keeping the airfare costs in check too.
RCCL ships have the back end balconies and my sister has spoken to her TA to get those saved. So I need to check again and see who is interested in a balcony on the BACK end of the ship. This will give you a full view while sailing through the straits etc. The TA will place a hold on the specific rooms we want. So if you are interested please go to the RCCL web page and pull up the Serenade ship and pick a room. The actual intinerary will not be "official" until January 08 most likely, so there is no obligation and no money required at this point. You will be contacted once the itinerary is published and asked to put your deposit down at that time.
Please pm or post your Name (first and last), email and room # or catagory if you don't care which specific room. I will then email that information to the TA who will hold our rooms AS SOON as the itinerary comes out.
Hope you all are having a great summer. School is right around the corner.
Stephanie
