I have problems with birds flying into my windows so hard they knock themselves out. Have not put some of these stickers on the window as we have a large patio door and think that they cannot see the glass (not that the window is that clean but sometimes it seems to be the young birds that do this. If they knock themselves out best to put them in a box with a cover over until they come round or not as the case may be. Usually they get a clot on the brain and sometimes spin around also on the ground. The clot will disperse sometimes if you just cover them over. Dont know really how to stop the little devils doing what they do it is a real problem

Congrats on getting your documents! Miracles do happen. So it was what 4 days for your OVERNIGHT delivery??

Ummm....yeah, Friday to Tuesday was overnight apparently.

Princess Jasimine: I'm so glad the Travel Gods have answered our prayers & you got your documents. I thought a lot about your predicament. About the bird, we also have that problem at our office. As Brenda said stickers on the windows do seem to help.


Guys, I don't know but we are running a close first place for the last ones to leave for Barcelona. Our flight out of Philadelphia is @ 5:40pm EST. But if our plane is late or we miss our connection (we only have a 55 minute layover in Philadelphia) then we'll be leaving on the 8:00PM flight. But anyways, yes please the last person to go please turn the lights out

I put windchimes on the windows too and it seems to be helping.

I am in a packing frenzy. This is when I start to panic. My parents have decided no one is allowed more than one bag. I don't know why. So now I'm trying to condense everything. I'm also really stressing out over getting all our animals ready. AHhhhh!!!! I think I need a drink.

Hi All from London!

I need to catch up later but this is the first chance I've had to get online so wanted to post an update. Our flight out of Newark was good but we did leave about 1 1/2 late. They said the plane was really dirty and then we had a security issue. They actually took some guy out of the gate area in handcuffs. We never did find out what he had done wrong. After the late arrival in London we then stood in the passport line at Gatwick for over an hour. It was not very pleasant but once we were through there it was on to the hotel. We have been running around London ever since and are having a great time. We went to see Mary Poppins last night and it was great! We are off now to walk around some more and have dinner. I'll try to post again tomorrow.

Nice to hear from you shame about the passport control we find the same when we come to your country and that is all you need after the transatlantic flight. Hope the weather is being kind to you by the sound of it you are getting it not bad by uk standards.

PJ, I know they make special stickers so that the birds don't fly into the windows. A friend of mine has them in the corner of her windows. They are black and shaped like a bird. Call a pet store. Bet they can help.

I'll try to check back tonight, but if not, I'll see everyone either at dinner Friday or onboard Saturday. If anyone wants to come to dinner (Friday, La Poma, 8:00) and you haven't let me know, just show up and hopefully they can accomodate you!

You can't miss it. Just keep going aft on deck 7. At the very end of the hallway, past the rear stairs, there is a door that leads out to an open deck. You can see it on the deck plan if you know what you're looking for.

We left Cincinnati at 12:30 pm and arrived at Columbus airport at 2:15 for our 4:15 flight -- beautiful sunny day. We get to the gate after checking bags and security and they cancel the flight at 3:15 blaming it on the weather in the NY area. We were the first at the gate counter and the lady took one hour to get us flights out the next day. Other flights from Cincinnati were booked solid so we are flying (split-up) at noon & 2 pm respectively to Atlanta and getting a flight at 9pm from Atlanta to Paris arriving at 11:15 am on Thursday. Only 1.5 days for Paris and Disneyland Paris!!! We got a hotel next to the airport for tonight.

For my fellow DVC members, I just lost 71 points for Wednesday night stay at the Sequioa Lodge. That would have been 3 days at OKW in a 1 bedroom!!!! We might have to perform a burial at sea for the lost points.

If they would have only cancelled earlier so we could have more options or driven -- I would have driven to Atlanta in 7 hours. I am at the hotel's business center computuer. Thanks for letting me vent.

UUGGHH!! 71 points is a lot. Maybe if you beg and plead with Member Services??????? Are you doing points for Thursday night too? If not, you'd almost be better off joining us in Barcelona early. Save Paris for a different trip. Oh well! Nothing you can do really, but maybe go have a drink.

On a positive note, at least you have your passports (poor Marla). See you Saturday.

I am a DVC member also, and I would definitely beg for my points back. Even if they make you do some stupid 30 day our rule. I hate losing points!

My oldest son officially graduated from high school! The ceremony was well....way too long...no it was...way too long! Oh, did I mention boring as sin? Seriously, I'm not over it yet. It was planned for outside...after all it hardly ever rains in June here in PA. Well, storms passed through and at 4:00 pm the school calls and leaves a message that it will be held inside the gym and their video was not working so only 2 people could attend! We were supposed to have 6 tickets but now only 2! Anyway, it was also only supposed to be 2 hours and I actually left at 2:15 after seeing my son receive his diploma since we had a reservation for dinner at 8:15. Since my inlaws couldn't see their grandson graduate they could at least come out and have a meal! The meal stunk too! I feel full and fat! I hope this isn't an indication of what's to come for the next two weeks! All good food please! And cocktails...of course!

Clearly I'm halucinagenic...two more days of work and yes, I get the privilege of working Thursday morning only to catch a Thursday evening flight! Yes, I'm an overachiever....lol...or I just can't say no? Hmmm...I think I'll be at LaPoma already with cocktails in hand awaiting all you disers to join me! lol

We are also finally packed. We leave tomorrow evening after at least a half-day of work. After more than a year of planning, it's finally here.
