Hi Everyone,

Yes think some people are already away as the board is getting quieter by the day.

Who is the last one to leave I wonder. Our flight is not until Friday morning from Gatwick - packed already big mistake now so restless that I cannot think and the thought of preparing or eating a meal is just too much.

Just had an email from British Airways reminding us that we can check in on line from thursday morning that got me going again.

Know that the exchange of gifts is 1.30 but do not know where. Think I will be staggering around the ship with my little bag of gifts.

Weather here wonderful so far today - all washing up to date and I do so hope it is kind to Leilani in London - weather report for there looks good and they gave 25 today there.

We leave Chicago at 4:45pm on Friday. I think we tied for last ones out! I also won't be packing until Friday morning, just because of the restlessness issue. Not sure where secret deck 7 is but I'm sure we'll find it!

We left Cincinnati at 12:30 pm and arrived at Columbus airport at 2:15 for our 4:15 flight -- beautiful sunny day. We get to the gate after checking bags and security and they cancel the flight at 3:15 blaming it on the weather in the NY area. We were the first at the gate counter and the lady took one hour to get us flights out the next day. Other flights from Cincinnati were booked solid so we are flying (split-up) at noon & 2 pm respectively to Atlanta and getting a flight at 9pm from Atlanta to Paris arriving at 11:15 am on Thursday. Only 1.5 days for Paris and Disneyland Paris!!! We got a hotel next to the airport for tonight.

For my fellow DVC members, I just lost 71 points for Wednesday night stay at the Sequioa Lodge. That would have been 3 days at OKW in a 1 bedroom!!!! We might have to perform a burial at sea for the lost points.

If they would have only cancelled earlier so we could have more options or driven -- I would have driven to Atlanta in 7 hours. I am at the hotel's business center computuer. Thanks for letting me vent.

I am sorry that so many of us have had issues. Here's hoping that the next few weeks bring blue skies, calm waters, and wonderful memories.

We leave after work tomorrow and head to Pittsburgh for our flight tomorrow to Barcelona via Philadelphia.

I just started this thread about 2 1/2 weeks ago and believe it or not, I did go back and read all of it. Crazy I know but I have learned so much. Anyway, here is what I think but I'm not positive.
Board ship on Sat. and meet @ 1:30 in whatever restaurant is open (not topsiders).
1st day @ sea gift exchange (if you are involved in that-you would have had to get in on that about 60 pages back). That meeting is around 1:30 on secret deck 7 aft (never been there so I can't help you but at least it's a new adventure for me).
Then @ 2 that day is the get together in the Roy Suite w/Leilani.
I think the first night at sea those that are doing excursions on their own are getting together for drinks somewhere but not sure where.
If you have a DD11 or 12 they are also getting together. I think that is the first sea day @ 11 or 11:30 outside Parrot Cay (again not positive on that one)
I usally let someone else who is more in the "know" answer these questions but I think there so few of us left that I didn't want to leave you hanging.

WOW! Sorry to hear about your flight troubles. Travel is always so stressful. May the travel gods look kindly on you for the rest of your trip.

I am a DVC member also, and I would definitely beg for my points back. Even if they make you do some stupid 30 day our rule. I hate losing points!

My oldest son officially graduated from high school! The ceremony was well....way too long...no it was...way too long! Oh, did I mention boring as sin? Seriously, I'm not over it yet. It was planned for outside...after all it hardly ever rains in June here in PA. Well, storms passed through and at 4:00 pm the school calls and leaves a message that it will be held inside the gym and their video was not working so only 2 people could attend! We were supposed to have 6 tickets but now only 2! Anyway, it was also only supposed to be 2 hours and I actually left at 2:15 after seeing my son receive his diploma since we had a reservation for dinner at 8:15. Since my inlaws couldn't see their grandson graduate they could at least come out and have a meal! The meal stunk too! I feel full and fat! I hope this isn't an indication of what's to come for the next two weeks! All good food please! And cocktails...of course!

Clearly I'm halucinagenic...two more days of work and yes, I get the privilege of working Thursday morning only to catch a Thursday evening flight! Yes, I'm an overachiever....lol...or I just can't say no? Hmmm...I think I'll be at LaPoma already with cocktails in hand awaiting all you disers to join me! lol

I know the graduation ceremony can be very BORING! Our last name start with "S" so we're always the last ones to graduate.

We are also finally packed. We leave tomorrow evening after at least a half-day of work. After more than a year of planning, it's finally here.

Wow! I should just say ditto! for Happy travels to everyone lucky enough to be leaving today. The tumbleweeds are really starting to roll around in this ghost town you all left us in! I have the lights set on a timer to turn on Friday night!
