June 15 '08 Mexican Riv. Cruise

Hmmmm...I guess we'll have to go for being the loudest. At 16 years, I'm sure we won't be married the longest!

I wonder if they are having Who Wants to Be a Mousketeer again? (I haven't looked at the Navigators yet.) Played that with DD last cruise and it was a blast.
They should still have that. Everyone loves it!

Anybody know where I can get some pirate tattoos? (The temporary kind.)

Oriental Trading but shipping might cost alot this late. Party City has them.

I think you get some Disney ones on Pirate Night...just don't put them on your face unless you bring baby oil. I read a trip report and the guy was stuck with Pirate Mickey on his face for two days:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Now I know I'm home!! :drinking:

Just as I am getting the hang of this DIS Board thing, it's time for the cruise. I guess I'll just have to schedule a second one!!

:woohoo:

Rebook on board...I always work the deposit into my cruise budget. Hey...I know a really good cruise in Nov:rolleyes1

I don't know if Brooklyn e-mailed you but you can get magnet printer paper sheets for your Office Depot. The calender Brooklyn gave us as well as the Dad's Day templets can all be printed by right clicking on the picture and choosing print. I think she has it sized to 8 1/2 x 11 so all you do is load the magnet sheet and you are good to go!

Thanks! I'm playing hooky tomorrow and am going to go to Office Depot. The other family we are traveling with will be shocked I was able to do this (i'm making them one also). I will have to confess to them that you all deserve the credit for making me look crafty!:worship:

I am going to hold out for a Med cruise!

That is even more of a reason to put down a deposit. All deposits are transferable before final payment is due. I had a deposit on the Panal Canal that I made on the Trans-Atlantic last year. I then moved it to the last cruise in 2009 to buy time till the 2010 ones came out. Then at the last minute we decided to switch it to this cruise. By booking on board I got 10% off, $200 shipboard credit and prepaid gratutities.

Now they may not always offer the same thing for booking on board but it is always close to that. Usually always the 10% off and the shipboard credit.

So with that being said you want to book any "throw away" cruise as they are reffered to. All the incentives transfer over with you no matter how many times you change.

Then after paying in full for this one I transfer my reservation to a travel agent and got another $150 shipboard credit on top of everything else I just mentioned. :thumbsup2

Like the others said, check with Guest Services and depending on where your sister in law lives from the port, call her when we dock. On RCCL in April, we docked at 7a. From San Pedro to LAX is 30 minutes MAX on a Sunday morning. Of course if there's an accident, all bets are off!

With a 12:30p flight, you should be fine. You should also see if your airline and/or DCL does the airline check in where you can register/check in the night before on board the ship, leave your bags out like normal, the next morning, claim your bags and then check them in with your airline at the port and you don't have to worry about your checked bags until you arrive home at your own baggage claim. That way when you get to LAX, all you have to do is go through security and get to your gate.

Wow that sounds great, confusing, but great :)

Cool. I'll just have to put it somewhere more private! ;)

Also, DD5 is sick today. But better today than next week! Even if all of them get it, we should be done by the time we leave Tuesday. Poor baby!

Brooklyn, We booked this cruise when we were on the Med cruise last summer. I thought that we got a $200 shipboard credit but I have not seen anything at all in my travel docs. Does it just appear when you get to the ship. I do not remember anything about prepaid gratuities but I do remember them offering a shipboard credit. Thanks...

Yes, it will just be on your account with you board. If you call DCL they will verify it for you.

Yes, I should have clarified that more...sorry I am still sleepy. We got pre-paid gratutities bc we were originally going to take the Westbound Trans-Atlantic. The ship was empty just like the eastbound so they were giving anything to get people on board.

Stop it you chicken...we're going to get you guys up there. Aren't you almost at 20 years:hyper: That might be the winning number:teeth:.

My DH and I will be in the cheering crowd as well...I HATE being the center of attention with big crowds. But maybe we can challenge my DMIL & DFIL...they are 30 years married :)
