Thanks for the info Matthew517! Would you recommend a 3rd party for snorkeling in Nassau or doing a ship excursion?

I would go with Disney. The reason is that Nassau is listed as one of the most dangerous ports. A DCL city excursion was attacked several years ago. The area around the port is ok but beyond that I wouldnt chance it.
And if something were to happen the ship will not sail away with out the excursion group. I went on a dive excursion thru DCL and they used stewart's cove which is who I would have used. We arrived back at the boat late. They had the ramps up and only the crew one left down. Had it not been a DCL excursion I would have had to find a boat to Castaway Key to meet the boat the next day. As soon as we boarded the pulled the ramp and shut the door. We pulled out of port within several minutes. It looks like they added a new snorkling excursion at castaway key that might be ok with a small boat.

This is our 5th Disney cruise and we are just as excited as we were on our first!

We have decided to just stay on the ship in Nassau! I wanted to do a 7 day cruise and got out voted, so I know this one is not going to be long enough for me! I will just have to enjoy my 1 ship day. LOL

I am very ready for our vacation. Life in general has been stressful lately and work is almost unbearable, I am really looking forward to a short break from reality.

I had an anxiety dream last night that we were boarding the ship and all kinds of things were going wrong. It was smelly, dirty and we had to walk through the lower deck with all of our luggage in tow. That is when I realized I had forgotten to pack my suitcase and I had no clothing or personal items! LOL

I am sure it is going to be wonderful and now I just have to wait a few more weeks! =)
