June 12, 2004

OK, I just made 100 posts to this board! Lorie, you are in the lead! Others, we are neck-in-neck, LOL! Just yelled this to dh and he yelled back with laughter "Let's have a party!":hyper:

To reach Debbie, call 1-800-511-1333 and ask for ext. 67411. Let us know after you make the ressies!

Hometech, as for the dining rotation, you can call Debbie back and request a specific rotation so the brunch won't interfere with the character breakfast, or you can change the brunch if you want to stick with the PLA rotation.

For those in the know or with a Passporter (I'm still waiting for the new edition to ship from Amazon), what rotation do adults with no children usually get?

Hometech99, we requested and obtained our PLA rotation via the REAS. The passporter is usually pretty accurate, though changes can always be made. Perhaps post this question on the board or call Debbie. Good luck!

Nala, I believe those without kids usually begin with L.

Welcome Raquel!!

You will find alot of info on these boards. If you don't, ask away and someone will answer!

Barbara---Hooray!:cake: :flower3: :rockband: :drinking1

Here's your party!! That's me drinking my Kahlua Colada!!!

Hi!! My family and I are on this cruise---I am so excited!!
We have three DSs--ages 15, 8, and 5, and our MIL. My DH is Hometech99. We have never cruised before--I am a little nervous that our boys won't want to go to the clubs---but they LOVED the Neverland Club at the Poly---is that a good indication?

We bought the REAS--so everything is in place. We have APL as our rotation--so that we eat at Animator's Palate three times for dinner. The very nice gentleman who helped me said that this was a greeat rotation because you ONLY eat at Animator's Palate for dinner--so it is a bit more special---and it should hold the kids attention while we eat!! I am so excited--did I already say that??!!
I am looking forward to meeting you all!!

I remember reading that the "show" at Animator's is only put on the first night that you eat there. Just wanted to let you know this may be a possibility!

But congrats on booking!:
:wave2:

LORIE, thanks for the party!!! I'm going to join you with your Kahlua Colada!

findingnemofan, WELCOME! Very happy that you and dh hometech99 got your dining rotation! I'll have to see if I can get my dh on here too.

:)

Anyway, it's getting closer guys!!!!!!!

Take care!

Barbara

Hi again findingnemofan,

I don't know about the kids clubs at WDW or DCL. But, from what I've read, it's key to get the kids to the clubs the first day to make friends. Sometimes they do, and sometimes they don't. DCL has the best around according to posters here.

Good luck!

Barbara

Hi all,

1. Anybody ordering SeaSafe for the cruise? If so, how many bottles did you order?

2. Anybody doing some extra exercise so you can EAT MORE beginning June 12th?!!!

Barbara::yes:: (PS Where'd ya'all get the new icons or whatever they are called?!)

I ordered one bottle from drugstore.com. We plan to snorkle at St. John and swim a bit at CC, so I figured we wouldn't need more than one bottle for those two outings for the two of us.

Barbara,

To get the new icons, at the bottom of the current ones, click on
"get more".

I don't think I'll order sea safe. Although the sea lice thing does kind of creep me out, none of us had any problem the past 2 trips in June.

If you are worried about it, do not wash off at CC or on anywhere that would be fresh water with your bathing suit on. The reason is because the change in enviornment (sp?-I'm too tired to check!) cause them to "fire".

Do not rinse off near the pools or go in the hot tub after being in the salt water that may have this.

The best thing to do is to take off your bathing suit (in your room of course!! LOL) and then rinse off.

Also, before you wear your bathing suit again, rinse it (or even wash it) and let it dry completely. This is why they suggest bringing at least 2 bathing suits.

There is a very good post about this on the information boards. At the beginning, there is a thread about lots of good info. When you go to this, there is a section on sea lice.

Not only am I counting down the days to the cruise, but to the end of school!!
The three of us have 23 days left!!!!!
:hyper: :hyper:

Lorie

Nala,

I'm going to be nosey here for a moment. I hope you don't mind!

Is your wedding on June 5?

Lorie

In regards to the kids club, I would make the kids promise to give the clubs a couple of chances.

Although my ds loved every second of them when he was 11 and 12, other kids may need to "warm up" to them.

Also, be careful about when they first visit, check their navigators for a fun time. Last year, my niece-12 and my nephew-7 were so excited about the clubs. They went the first night after dinner around 10:30pm. Needless to say, there wasn't much going on at that time. In fact, they were simply showing a movie. They never went back.

It would have been really nice had they gone to the clubs a few times so we could get some adult time with my sister and her dh.

So I would prepare them ahead of time that it may take a few visits to enjoy the clubs. This way they won't be disappointed if it isn't the pure excitement they've been told.

Lorie

Thanks for all the great info. Lorie! I think it's wise what you shared about the kids clubs, and good info. about sea lice. I check out that post.

Lucky you with only 23 days of work/school left! We're flying out on our kids last day of school (6/10), and since I'm part-time, my last day is June 9th. Is that crazy or what? I'm envious of your end-of-work/school date!

NALA - If your wedding is June 5th, you picked a great date! My dh and I were married on June 5th twenty two (22) years ago on that day. It was one of the best days of my life. You must be very excited! At that time, we flew to Miami and went on a cruise in the Bahamas, then on to Mississippi and Texas to visit my dh's grandmother. Ahh, to be that young again, we were really young pups at age 23.

OK, I'm going to go check the new icons, can you tell I'm not a very observant person by nature?!, LOL!

THANKS LORIE, and HELLO TO ALL!

Barbara

Hap anniv. hometech99 and findingnemofan!

Lorie, my ds sent your ds and e-mail. Gave him his IM screen name. Ds and hometech99/findingnemofan ds IMed tonight. Great to see them meeting!

My ds's sent box does not work, and does not save e-mail long. We need to change it to another program.

Bye,

Barbara

:bride: :groom:
