June 10, 2006 Cruise Thread CONTINUED

Congratulations Christine!

Spring is in the air & my students are goofy.

I started a thread looking for waterpark advice--especially BB. Do you guys have any tips for me? We haven't been to the waterparks since River Country was still there.

Mary. . .we've been to BB and TL. . .I liked BB best but that was at least 4 years ago. We did TL this past summer. It is good but when the "typhoon" goes it will knock you down. . . waves are just too strong for me. Stacy was "little" and doesn't remember BB but she enjoyed TL this past year.

Happy Mothers Day!

Congratulations on your Confirmation Christine!

Patrick made his 1st Communion yesterday.

Hi everyone!

It seems like forever ago since I posted.

Well, the school year is winding down- our last day is the 23rd- we will fly to Tampa that night to start our vacation.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day! We had a very nice relaxing day- just perfect!

Congrats to those making first communion and confirmation.... may God's blessings alway be with you!

Nothing else to report- really busy with end of the year work, making up rained out soccer and tball games and all of the events that present themselves at the end of school year.

Hugs to all!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!

I read about yesterday's storms in the paper today - I hadn't watched the news. So sad that so many people lost their lives! I always think of our heartland disboard friends when I read about that. Glad to see Marion's post!

We are in the thick of the year-end things. Christine has her school recital this Friday & I'm sort of in charge of it, so this is a busy week for us. Then the BIG recital - lots of costumes to do minor alterations to before May 31. I'm also trying to help TJ gather all the items he needs for his summer on tour. And I'm working on the family travel plans for the summer. That and working on finishing up that basement. It's been 4 months! Too long! Gotta get Christine to dance.

Blessings to all!

Busy, busy DIS friends. I'm glad our MO friends are ok. Nice to hear from you Marion, although I'm jealous. We don't get out until June 5th b/c of our 3 snow days.

Where's TJ going on his tour this summer?

wow...we dont get out till june 5 -- just because!

buti think everyone else starts earlier that us --------------
well i dont have much time. gotta go to dance!

Happy Hump-Day to All!

TJ is touring with the Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corps, from about May 23, until Aug. 9. They will perform and compete all over the eastern half of the US. He is the youngest member of the corps this year. I was prepared to have him gone after his senior year of high school, but he is a junior this year, and this idea of him being gone all summer is taking some getting used to! But this is his passion in life, and I am very happy for him that he gets to have this experience, as well as proud that he made the corps. He has to complete assignments early and take all of his final exams. Then he is free to be done with school 1-2 weeks earlier than the rest of the kids.

Have a great day, everyone!

today i am planning on doing nothing! yayyyy! i do have dance but only for 2 hours.

going to go eat breakfast. talk to you all later !

Hi everyone!

I hope everyone had a nice weekend!

On Friday, we had a bomb threat at the Zoo, so it made my day a bit more stressful. Then, I got a call from John that Emme had fallen at her field day event and they thought she had broken her arm. He picked her up, got her to the doctor and sure enough- she broke her wrist Poor baby.

We had a super busy weekend. I am almost happy to come to work to rest. LOL!!

John has added a few days to our Florida trip, we were going to go on Sunday the 25th, but now we are heading out this Friday, 23rd after we all finish school. Should be lots of fun. Looking forward to seeing Charlene & family and Kim & family at some point during our trip.

Luckily, they now have waterproof casts, so Emme will be able to enjoy the pools - I was worried about that. Okay, off to get ready for class.

Hugs to all!!!!

Marion: So sorry to hear about Emmy. What color is her waterproof cast? I'm sooooo jealous that you're almost done w/ school. Say HI! to Kim & family when you get down to WDW. Who threatens to bomb a zoo? It's a crazy world.

Christine: I feel your pain about other schools getting our early.

Dee: TJ's experience sounds amazing. I would worry about him being gone so long too, but he sounds like a very responsible kid. I'm sure he'll be fine.

Kay: Where are you????

Did anyone watch the Magic going through the canal on Friday? The pictures of it are awesome--especially the submarine that popped up & got priority clearance to go ahead of them.

Hi Mary- Em's cast is purple, so I had to go out and buy a silver sharpie for her friends to sign it with. The Dr. said it would be a fun way to get autographs at WDW- so that made Em feel a little better.
Didn't see the pics- sounds like quite an amazing thing though.

Missing Kay too!

hey hey hey

I am here - just doing things and busy at the hospital all week, most days.

I am on the Board of Directors now and we always have things going.

Right now I have a - I don't really know - sore throat, cold or whatever.

Coughing my fool head off. When I'm home I just want to sleep.

The fires all over Florida is awful. The smoke burns your throat when you are outside. That might be my problem.

SO SO SORRY Emme broke her wrist.

I want to meet up with you guys in June - I'm trying to work it out.

I now have another pet - a kitty named Shadow. When I go away, it is double expense for me now. That is due to my DD not being able to keep Shado at her house due to all her dogs. The kitty is afraid of all the dogs.

I have been reading Deb Wills site about the Panama Canal crossing. Been there, done that and it was fun. They shut down the web cams de to the Sub going thru - thus, no pictures. What they will do is take the pics from the 2005 crossing and just put May, 2008 on them. Too sad :sad2:

They seem to be doing the same things as May, 2005 - so those of us who did it then, it was repetitious. Change is GOOD......................

I'm off to np now - think I have a small fever today.

Stacy has only 3 days of school left! I'm so glad to get out of 4th Grade! They have worked very hard all year and the last 2 weeks have been "fun" days. She had a field trip yesterday and today is pj day with movies all day!

Marion. . .hope to see you soon! Since you are going to Orlando earlier than planned, did your return date change? We'll be there sometime in the afternoon on May 30.

New "boss" at work. . .the church leaders hired someone to help us be more organized. . .and she is shaking thing up! Fortunally (or unfortunally) she is a dear friend of mine. . .it will change our relationship some. . .which I dread but so far all her "changes" are good.

Love to all!
Char

Hey everyone!

Let me think, what's new with us. Emme went back to the orthopedist yesterday and has a new cast. Her other one became very loose- guess the swelling went down.

We are counting down the days until the end of the week and vacation!

Charlene- we are leaving earlier, but still staying through the 2nd, so we still plan on getting together with you. I need to give Kim a call too. We had coordinated getting together too, so I just need to confirm.

Pretty day here- finally- they are so few any more. Everyone here is so sick of the rain!!!

Have a great day everyone!
