June 10, 2006 Cruise Thread CONTINUED

HI everyone,

Greetings from the Gaylord Palms hotel in Orlando. We are staying here until Sunday, then off to Saratoga springs for most of the week and finish off at a Marriott time share. We have free internet here, after that we will only be able to access our email from out phones.

I fell tonight and hit my elbow and hand and hip- gonna have some terrible bruises but otherwise fine. The atrium her is cobblestone kind of path and I found the uneven one. Emme and I have the graceful gene going right now- Not!

Kim- in case you check this before you leave, we will be going to MGM- not the name I know, all day on Saturday too. So do give me a call and we can meet up for some rides.

Charlene- looking forward to seeing you guys on Sunday!!!

It is going to be a great week. Miss everyone else, wish you could be here too. You are in spirit! Hugs to all!

You do realize that it is Sunday, June 1 that we'll see each other. . .right??? Can't hardly wait!

Stacy's 1st day of summer and she got up at 6:30 this morning! Now during the school year, I had to drag her out of be at 7:15. . . took her to lunch, swimming and to pick out tile for her bathroom remodel (going to be done while we are gone)

Hi everyone! Enjoyed a very wet day here today. Luckily we kept missing it during our visit to Sea World ( my friend gave us passes, so that was a nice change of pace). Bruising isn't as bad as it feels- it sure is a bummer growing old and not being graceful!

Charlene- yep, we know that it's on the 1st and so looking forward to it!

Not much more to report. Have a great Memorial day. We check out of here tomorrow and head off to Saratoga- so this will be in for posts until we get home.

Hi Marion: I am sure it did rain there. We had lots in Ft. Laud. - actually we need it badly. Sorry it was during your stay.

You know there is free Internet at the DVC resorts now for members, don't you?? No more 9.95 charges.

Glad you are not too bruised after the fall.

Hope everyone has a great time at the World. I'm getting over an infection w/my sinuses and it wasn't too much fun. Haven't been out of the house since last Monday.

Hey guys!! Hope all are well.

marion...do you want to meet around lunchtime??? Then John can ride with us on the big rides!! Brian doesn't really like ToT so he could hang with you guys. Call me that day. We will be there when it opens so really anytimE is good.We ride the big rides a couple times very first thing in the morning. Usually we do RNR first 2-3 times and then TOT. Hope your having fun.

i have been SOOOO busy this week! and i will be next week.

we had the long weekend which was nice, but then yesterday i had a big rehearsal at the theatre for my dance recital, today i had PT and i have a rehearsal at the studio and a spanish project due tomorrow, tomorrow is dress rehearsal for the studio so today i gotta get ready for that, and then friday is outdoor day...then saturday is the show!!! AHHHH its an excited AHHHH hehe

The weather is goofy here. We went from 80 on Monday to 50 on Tuesday. I need some consistent warm FL sunshine.

I'm in school until next week Thursday on the 5th !!!!! Yuck.

Please keep Scott in your prayers. He's hit the 2 month mark and the job posting are really slim right now--possibly b/c of Mem Day, summer, etc. He's getting dejected and that's not good. I'll be looking for a couple part-time jobs to bring in some extra cash as soon as we get back from Disney.

Sent Kim an e-mail re: the trip.

I have pneumonia on both of my lobes and flat down on my back right now.

this is the 3rd week and it's not fun. Trying to stay out of the hospital.

last night was my first night of sleep and it sure felt good.\

we'll chat soon over the phone.

MARY: P.S. - I sold another one of my VWL contracts and very happy. That will be good for ome when the maintenance comes due in 2009. Just signed the closing papers yesterday.

Only have two left now. I think they will go to my son. They will end up getting them anyways.
Karen and Brenda don't care about WDW at all. (Strange - LOL)

To start with I'll just add the names and let him get used to it that way to learn how iti works. We talked about buying in Hawaii when it opens up, but not sure if he wants to or not. They lived there so long and that was almost enough for them. So we might buy into Contemporary.

My AP expires the end of June and I have to renew that.

Kay: Rest & get rid of that pneumonia. Congrats on the contract sale. Just remember us if you need to rent/transfer some points. We're out for this year, but have 170 something for next year.
I can't believe your daughters didn't catch the Disney bug.

You still never explained how your wound up on the Board of Directors? That's a really big thing--isn't it?

I got on the Board I think probably 'cause I have gotten to know so many people along the way this year and knew many of them actually before hand. Got a call one night from the President and she asked me if I would consider joining in and I called her back and said that I would. We had a very nice installation dinner about a week afterwards. The people are super great. I also got to know all of the Sisters Of Mercy and they are such a huge inspiration.
I figured since I have spent so much time there, I would just be one of them.

We will chat on the other "thing" later on. I still might need more for Kim and the g/children next year. I still have 2 contracts but don't know what DS wants to do

We had a great trip to Orlando...traffic was so slim!

Hotel is across the street from Universal.

Last night Stacy dropped her glasses and broke them. . .she walked around Universal not really being able to see much. . . we found a lenscrafters this afternoon and purchased new glasses

Crowds were ver low at Universal. . we didn't wait more than 5 minutes for anything this morning.

Looking forward to being with Marion's family tomorrow at Typhoon Lagoon.

Char: Did you stay at a Universal hotel that gives you their version of fastpass? I'm not sure what it's called. We want to go to Universal in 2 years, so I'm just trying to learn more about it.

I managed to get 2nd degree burns on the leg I cross over the other one sitting in the chair at baseball games. I need to get this to heal. 10 days until Blizzard Beach.

HI everyone: sure Kim and Bill and families are having a great time. I'll be back in touch in a few days. Going in the hospital and hopefully be back home by the end of the week. Need IV antibotics badly. Just ran home to get Shelby to take to the vets. Have a wonderful week.

Mary. . .we are staying HYatt Place on Major BLvd. . .I got it for $40 a night off of hotwire. . . you can walk to Universal (which we did one day. . .however we were totally exhausted after walking all day around the park). . . so far we haven't needed the "fastpass" that staying at their hotels offer. . .we haven't waited more than 5 minutes for anything. . . Stacy and I rode one ride 4 times in a row today. . .no one was waiting! I was so water logged after the 2nd time. . .that 2 more times didn't matter!

Had a wonderful time with Marion and family yesterday. . .we agreed meeting every summer is wonderful for us!

Time to get ready for dinner at Artist Point!

today was my last day of school -- i am now in high school!!!

ive had a colorguard rehearsal. we were spinning rifles (not real!) and i really bruised up my arms. its really hard.

my recital went really good!

Got home tonight at about 7:15 pm. Am going to bed and sleep so good in my bed tonight - other than having road marks on my left hand and arm from IV's and my veins collapsing every 7 hours, I am much better. Had to change my IV 7 times and that sure was not fun.

Hope to hear from Kim and Bill shortly.

where is everyone all week. Cruise is over today for our friends. Hope to hear from them soon. Still haven't left the house since I got home. Just resting and taking medicine and watching LMN.

Hey guys!!! We are back and tired!!! Kay I hope you are feeling better!! We had tons of fun with marion, John and the girls!!! I'm glad we got to meet up with them!!! The cruise was fun. We met a lot of nice people and that was the sad part ...they got off the ship after the 4 day. We saw Bill and everyone a couple times. I helped mamaw and Kristen get lunch the beginning of the 3 day. She still eats a lot!!! Em and Billy hung out some at the Aloft and are still texting each other. He burnt his feet really bad at the Atlantis. They even blistered!! Weather was great and the crew was really nice. We actually experienced a 1st on the 4 day. They switced (at the last minute) the pirate party to 7:30 on that cruise. They were testing it out since they get so many complaints that it is so late. It was back to normal on the 3 day...so I don't know what will happen. Well I am tired...any questions ask and I will post later......

Kay: I leave tomorrow. I am PMing both cell #s, but it sounds like you need your rest right now. What caused you to need the antibiotics in the 1st place? When do you leave on your trip??

Sorry I haven't been on much lately. Final exams kept me busy & then I sort of collapsed for a few days. Now I've got to get revved up for Disney & my boys beloved Star Wars Weekend. We're at the Boardwalk until Sunday & then switch to VWL for 3 days.

Hi Mary:

had double pneumonia in both lungs w/the left lung being the worse. Feel better today and hope each day continues the same.

I am supposed to leave on Friday, June 10th, if the Dr. gives the OK - if not, I'll have to cancel the Germany trip. I SURE DO NOT WANT TO, THO. Thank goodness I have the insurance to fall back on. The $97 paid was well worth it.

I don't thnk I have enough energy to go to WDW this weekend and feel I have to stay home and work up my strength for the trip.
