I checked my Cruise Planning Center today and I now have a stateroom!!!! Wooo hoooo! We are in stateroom #9156. I hope that everyone is getting as excited as we are!

As soon as I board and get access to my cabin, I will post on my cabin door a current list of FE players with cabin numbers. The list will have a pen attached. If a player upgrades his / her cabin, it will be their responsibility to visit my door and update the list with their new cabin number.

A week before sail date - I will post a revised FE cabin map (GoogleDocs) designating our FE locations. Players who try and deliver FE gifts to cabins without a FE should consult my cabin door for updated cabin information.

Let me know if this will work or provide an easier solution.

If you haven't made your FE yet and you can sew, these instructions might be helpful. I finished ours last night and I was so glad to have them. Of course, you can make it look any way you want, but the basic dimensions and instructions are good to know. I'm too new to DISboards to post a picture of ours, but you can see a picture of this one in post 1731 on the same page of the disboard thread below. Instead of the white embroidered quote from Walt Disney at the top and bottom of the FE, I put "The Murphy Family" in white at the top with a red mouse head on either side and hemmed it just below the last pocket at the bottom.

Thank you!!! I really need to start on my FE! I am hoping it's not too hard. I have some fabric I think I will use... I'm glad to get the instructions that you used.

Kim, please let me know if you have any questions along the way. I'd be happy to help if I can. The instructions mention needing 1/4 yard of fabric. That's just for the "back", which ends up being 8" wide. I actually doubled mine to make it thicker and to hide the back of my embroidery. You need to calculate fabric for the pockets seperately. I cut pieces of fabric that were 12"x11" for my pockets so that I could fold them in half (6"x11") to make them a little more sturdy.

I think she mentioned cutting your 3/8" dowel to 8". Since that is the width of the FE, I made mine 9" and added round dowel caps (from Michael's) to each end. The dowel caps cover about 1/2' of the dowel at each end, leaving 8" in the middle.

I don't think she says how long to leave the ribbon to hang it from. I read somewhere to let your FE hang about 7-8" from a hanger (the fish).

Anybody else get hit by that crazy weather yesterday?

We live in the Mt's " Highlands" just outside Pittsbugh and we got a foot of snow!!! Our local ski resort was open today. Latest day open on record We have not had one snow day all year until yesterday. last winter we had five feet of snow on our roofs and some colapsed but no snow this close to May. CRAZY!

We also got our documents, and had that crazy weather yesterday, but for us it was great weather - record low of 70 for the high. Beats the high 80s!
