I just wanted to let everyone know that one of the FE gifts I have put together for you ended up weighing about a pound. I mention this because I just got in the mail the FE I ordered online, and it is beautifully made, but the ribbon holding it at the top is so thin that I think it would rip if I put my own gift in the pocket. So I'm reinforcing it with another ribbon.

I just wanted to make sure my gift doesn't hurt anyone's FE. I have also found it is a good idea to make sure your gifts fit in the pockets of your own. I have to tweek my gifts a little.

Thanks for the heads up. I will swap out my dowel rod with a 2x4 and replace my ribbon with an industrial chain link.

If one of the FE gifts you have put together ended up weighing about a pound and you are not driving, please be careful to not exceed your baggage weight limit. Airlines like to charge you extra for everything.

My girls and I were laughing when we read your last post! The gift is not that bad. And we are driving, so thankfully I don't have to worry about the weight. I think you'll enjoy it.

I am making my FE on Thursday I hope, so I will make it strong!

So.... say my gift contains some chocolate items.... how do I keep them from melting before I get to my room!?! We will be hanging at the pool! Can I bring my mini-cooler and put them in?

We have our cabin number now for 4minnies!! We will be in cabin numbers 6006 & 6008...the extender will be hanging on one of those cabins.

We are getting so excited!!

I'ts been a busy as well as tragic and distracting month for the sailing world. I have really let this cruise sneak up on me. I haven't even started yet. We have our gifts figured out, hope everyone likes them. Sorry, no hints. What I haven't done is everything else. Haven't made our FE yet. Haven't made our door magnets yet. Haven't put together our pirate night outfits yet. And I still have two more races this month. I'm going to make it though. Somehow I'm going to make it.
Got a great picture of our little one all ready to go on "Mickey Mouse's Boat" which according to her is tomorrow, feels like it.
I have got to get busy. I have just scanned over the threads. I like the green tags, good idea.
Thanks to everyone for helping make this cruise even MORE special.

Don't worry - I am still working on FE gifts, and only just this morning cut some fabric to make my FE but it hasn't been assembled.

Everything will get done - and it makes it all the better to make the vacation even MORE relaxing if everything was hectic before!

Just got my custom items in and need to assemble the rest so you are not alone!

I need to get everything done in the next two weeks because I need a 10-14 days of almost complete rest to be physically ready for vaca. I'm freeking a bit too!

Hello, I joined the main thread and saw there was a "sub" thread for the FE
I see that it is closed for Late Comers,

But,is it okay for me to join if i just want to give and not receive?

I really enjoy going to each door and playing FE FAIRY!!!
and seeing the FE holders and possibly the door made up with magnets.

Dizzi -- haven't been on the boards for awhile after I didn't get much interest in the idea to start a 2nd FE group. Realized we're 3 weeks away (!), came back on to check and saw your post from a couple weeks ago. If you'd like to trade information and at least have our families exchange gifts, let me know. If not since we only have 3 weeks, that's fine, too. This is our first cruise so I didn't know about all of these fun things. Next time I'll be more on the ball!

Dizzi and late2party - if you guys decide to do a mini FE I can participate. It won't be with the same stuff I made for the others, but I have a couple extra things and some other quick ideas. But I am leaving in less than 2 weeks so tell me quickly!

I need some input please. I made Disney coloring books for the kids as part of the FE gift. However, I know that some of the older children probably don't like to color. Please let me know if any of your children do not like to color so that I can substitute that portion of the FE gift. Thanks!

My dd7 will love the book. Ds is entering middle school this year so he and my oldest would consider themselves too old to color.

Hi Kim -- that is so sweet of you! I did not hear from Dizzi so I guess we'll let it go this time. Good luck with all of your preparation and hope to meet you onboard! I have a 9 year old son and a 6 year old daughter, so looks like our kids are close in age.
