Glad to hear your brother-in-law and family will probably be joining you, even if it is only for a few days.

I think you should do IOA for a day, it definitely has some nice rides. Just don't go in expecting the level of service you get at WDW, cause you won't get it!

We just went to Islands of Adventure in June. It was very clean, the employees were all very nice, and it was very well themed. I guess it would be my 2nd fave theme park after Disney World. Although if I ever go to Disneyland I'm sure that would be my 2nd fave.

I realized that I made it sound like the Universal employees are bad in my first post, and wanted to clarify that I agree with Kathy on them. I did not have a bad experience with them at all, they were all very nice, friendly and the park is great. It is just not the same as Disney. I know that not every CM at Disney is fantastic, but 99% are. I think the employees at Universal do their jobs and do them well, but at Disney they go over the top (in general) to make your visits feel magical and to make you feel special and like they are there for YOU, and not everyone. I hope this makes sense....

My daughter and her family actually made an "all-Universal" trip in May, and had a great time. You HAVE to see Harry Potter, of course! I will ask again what their other favorites were, but I'm pretty sure The Mummy was one.

Hey everybody! We're back home....actually, we got back home late Monday evening. I just haven't had time to post and upload my pictures. We had a great trip to Knoxville. The drive there was supposed to be about 9 3/4 hours but because of road construction, it took us 11! On the way home, it rained and hailed on us so hard that we had to pull off the interstate not once, but twice. The drive back home took us almost 12 hours!

Lacey and Jesse's apartment is in a quiet spot just outside of town and is very nice. There's a pool, tennis court and laundry facilities on the premises and all are accessed by key only so there's no people from outside the apartments using them. The apartment itself is not big but there's enough room for the two of them. It gives me peace of mind knowing they are in a nice, safe place.

I'm going to write up a mini-report when I get a minute or two. I don't want to give too much away but I will tell you that I came home very happy. I saw something I've always wanted to see and purchased something I've been wanting for over a year!

Glad you guys had a great time! I began planning our Thanksgiving trip over the weekend and thought about you guys up there! It stinks when you get stuck in traffic/weather/wrecks well anythign that makes your drive that much longer!!

Also it I know it has to be a relief to know Lacey will be living somewhere safe!! Can't wait to hear all about it!
