Jumpin' June Exercise Thread

Combination of mall walking and family walk today for 87 minutes. I have found that while it is nice to walk with other people for the companionship/conversation, most people don't walk as fast as I do when I am just walking. DH can keep up (actually, I have to work to keep up with him), but the in-laws definitely could not. I got the time in, but it felt more like a stroll than a walk. But any moving is good in my opinion!

Don't we have pretty colors?! We are updated through post 265. I'm copying Magdalene's idea from the weight loss thread and posting our results here as well as on page 1.

I will be out of town for a few days. I'm going to update on Sunday then not again until Thursday, maybe Wednesday. Don't panic if you think things aren't changing! :scared1:

Gretchen--the important thing is that you are moving, not if you make goal or not! Good for you for getting back to being healthy!! :woohoo:

2TxAgs--I can't tell you anything about the races, but I can tell you the Redwoods are breathtaking! I'm sure they are as beautiful as the pictures.

I really wish I felt I could count the minutes I spent picking strawberries today! They are mostly gone so it was hard work for the few I got. But oh so delicious! :cloud9:

48 minutes of running, and the rest was spent pacing my office randomly to hit 22,500 steps for the day. Tomorrow is my last day of week 3 half training. I run 9 miles. My farthest distance to date. Not sure when I'm going to get it in. We're calling for thunderstorms in the evening (when I normally run), and my DH has his marathon training team run in the morning. I may wind up running in the middle of the day. Luckily the high is only supposed to be 81.
 
Lot to add today as I am trying to catch up before the end of the month comes!

90 minutes worth of exercise today!! I went to PT and did a lot more, plus I did walking today and a little cleaning around the house. My back is so much better and my PT said that tomorrow I should do my cardio routine, but modified...he said go slower and do it for longer, and also do the PT for my back as well as some leg lifts (standing only) and stationary lunges. So I should be adding plenty of minutes tomorrow too! Then he said to rest Monday, no exercise at all. Tuesday I have to repeat what I'm doing tomorrow, rest Wednesday and Thursday I go back to him again. I doubt I will get up to 1000 minutes by the 30th but I'm doing the best I can. It's great just to be moving again.
