Jumpin' June Exercise Thread

40/360 minutes. Walked to and from the pool the other day, and swam for a bit. Should be starting classes at the Y tomorrow. May not hit my goal, but it'll be a start :)

That's a great time! Went trail running yesterday - dripped sweat when I finished. Also got in some yoga and strenght training so far today. 101 minutes (not dalmations) 593/2000

Thanks! I'm hard on myself when it comes to my times. My current PR for a 10k is 55:19 which is an avg pace of 8:55. I have to keep reminding myself I'm working on distance right now, so my times are going to be slower. I'll work on pace after I can do 13 miles. My goal is to finish my first half in under 2 hours. More specifically 1 hour and 57 minutes, so I can beat my husband's first half time. We're just a tad bit competitive. :)

Updated through 238. I would love to get rid of most of the orange. Come on, ya'll are soooo close to reaching 50%. I am so impressed by those of you who run in the heat and humidity. :worship: When I was running (plodding!), I thought 45 was the perfect temperature. Can't imagine double that! :faint: Today I was back at the pool. It was lovely. I even had it to myself! Since school is over, I've been riding my bike to meet my former early bird walking group when they are done and having coffee. Then I leave them and ride my bike while my other walking group walks. That's been different. Plus I'm not sure how to count that time pedaling backwards, forwards, backwards, forwards. I've just decided about one third seems right. Today none of the early birds could be there, hence the swimming. If I were really dedicated I could swim before I meet at 6:30, but let's not get carried away! :rotfl2: Have a super day!

I am sooooooo hoping that I can do mainly active PT for my back starting tomorrow mots feeling much better today, so I have a feeling he will let me do more and maybe even some stuff at home! I'm hoping! I'd still like to get to my 1,000 minutes this month, although that's not looking good considering next week I have an event nearly every day. Wait a minute...dancing at my end-term party next Thursday counts, right?

510/900. New total

Adding 90 minutes total since last posting. Gym, tried some new machines, usual treadmill, arm, leg, and the real name of the waist trimmer- Rotary Turbo? I keep forgetting! Also, some walking ( not at the gym).

690/1200

3 miles walking today - some with the pup, some not. Some clouds and a bit of shower cooled the evening down into the low 80s which made walking nicer.

bangzoom - here's hoping your PT agrees to some increasing levels of activity. :thumbsup2

glss1/2fll (linda) - long shot, but since you're from up that way - do you know anything about the 2 races thru the redwood forest (Humboldt Redwoods Marathon and Avenue of the Giants Marathon)? The websites make those races look so pretty and enticing....

1591/2400

27 minutes of running (3 miles) and 64 minutes of walking according to my fitbit.

11 miles down this week, and 14 left to go.

775/1000

June 18: walked 40 minutes

Bangzoom - SO glad to read you're feeling better! Yes, do remember what "normal" feels like and no, do not push too hard once you get there. You have Disney coming up and don't want to be in pain for that :thumbsup2

did the recycling/dump run yesterday, which I wouldn't normally count be I make it into a workout. (sprinting to the truck, after carrying a load to the bins, and running up the hill while carrying a bag of trash and then sprinting back to the truck). I'm sure the fellas who work the transfer station think I'm crazy, but I don't care.

A sort walk to the store - nothing says "move your butt" like carrying a quart of ice-cream back from the store in 80 degree heat.:)

This morning I did a 13 mile trail bike ride and got wonderfully muddy, I even got some splatter on my glasses.

Total - 119 minutes

712/2000

440/1000

30 minutes of active PT today!! He said to come back Saturday and I'll repeat the same thing. Then he will give me some stuff to do at home.

Last few days-

28 minutes - Arms, core, stretch on Tuesday
43 minute walk yesterday
29 minutes - Arms, core, stretch today

573/1100, made it halfway to goal!

Thanks!
