July Exercise Challenge

The challenge is on. And it's a challenge by you for you! Challenge yourself to do "x" number of minutes of exercise this month and then get moving!

We're here to cheer you on! :cheer2: Summer is here, so let's make some exercise fireworks! :rainbow:

Did you know that a goal of 1800 min for the month is just 60 min a day of activity?
A goal of 900 min is 30 min of activity per day!
A goal of 1440 is 24 hours of exercise--a whole day!

How the challenge works:
Post your personal goal for June (xxxx minutes of exercise) and then post updates as frequently as you like. Progress will be tracked here.
Please post your update total at the top of your post.
You are also welcome to share your activity as well.

EXAMPLE:
301/1800
45 min running.

As you reach milestones for the month, your name and total will change color in this post.
At 10%, you'll be maroon
When you reach 25%, you'll be pink
When you reach 50%, you'll be purple
When you reach 75%, you'll be blue
At 90%, you'll be red (because you are on fire!)
When you hit 100%, you'll be WISH green!

Good Morning and Happy July to everyone!

Historically July is one of the months that I really struggle with. I am NOT a heat/humidity person at all. But I'm hoping July 2014 will be different. Especially since I'm registered for a 6.5 mile trail run in New Hampshire in the beginning of August (really, what was I thinking?).


Goal - 1200 minutes

Thanks for hosting! I didn't make my goal for June, but I think I'll keep it for July. Started off well on this early humid morning:

Thank you again for hosting this month!! My goal is 500 minutes before we leave for WDW on July 18th! We are driving down from New York and we check in July 20th. Then we stay 10 nights, then drive back, hitting Savannah, Georgia and Washington, D.C. along the way. We return home on August 3rd. I know I will probably do over an hour worth of walking daily at WDW, but I won't be posting on the DIS during my trip. So 500 minutes it is! :)

I'm going to go with 1000 minutes for July. We'll see how I do because I don't like to exercise in this heat and we'll be going on vacation the end of the month. Although I'll be walking A LOT on our trip, and I'll be lugging an approximately 30 - 40 lb backpack, I'm not sure I'll be able to post. So, maybe I can get the 1000 in before we leave :scratchin
 
I'm still training for my half, and I'm going to attempt a 10x10 challenge in the middle of the month. With all that, I'm going to put myself out there for 2800.

I'm super scared of the 10x10. 10 non-stop miles per day for 10 straight days. It's a run/walk/jog thing, so I'm going to try to do the Galloway plan to complete it. After that, running a half should be easy.
 
I'm in again for July! I barely made my goal for June (and I thought it would be easy :confused3) but I'm going to up my number anyway. So 900 minutes for July it is...
