July exercise challenge--time to make your 1/2 year resolution to be healthy and fit!

Hey, everyone! :goodvibes

I need to do some catching up here. Tuesday I did 78, Wednesday was my off day, Thursday only 40 because the electrician showed up  and then today 100, which I most certainly will regret later. (No straight-leg push-ups this time, though. Oh, well.)

So now I'm at 1,053/1,500, 70%.

Thanks, Rose!!! :flower3:

40 min on the treadmill (2 miles in 22:45, rest walking), 10 min of crunches

1230/1600, 76%.

I am at 1090/1300 for this month!

Still having a lot of trouble with my left hip. Swam 1500 meters yesterday which shouldn't bother it much since that's not a weight bearing exercise. Actually, it didn't hurt while I was swimming, but you should have seen me trying to get out of the pool and walk to my car! :scared1: Only things that seem to help are Tylenol and ice. I'm back to the orthopedist on Tuesday.

Thanks so much for filling in this month, Rose! I have needed all the motivation I can get!

July 22 - 45 min. cardio (it was my day off, but I felt like doing something!)
July 23 - 60 min. strength training

Hope the visit to the doctor goes well!

I'm at 1331/1500.:goodvibes

10 miles, 150 min (walked the last 4). High today here is 101, and it was 85 when we started at 6:40, so I am happy with it.

1380/1600 , 86%.

I am unfortunately unlikely to make my goal this month, as I have a half marathon next Sunday and am going to take it easy all week. Oh well! I might come close.

Ok, so I just realized I won't reach goal unless I do 5 hours everyday until next Saturday. I plan on doing at least 2 hours each day starting Wednesday and some on the other days but I will just commit to next month and get as far as I can this month!

I am up to 900/1000 this month.

I don't get here to post often enough, but I keep track with my low tech pen and notebook spreadsheet. :rotfl:
Rose, I did start adding the miles I run/walk to my note book after talking about it with you, and I think that will be a big motivator. Next month I think I'll leave a space for speed too. It's nice to have it all written down, especially since I have such a bad memory.

Thank you, Rose for running this challenge.

I MADE MY GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you tell I'm just the least bit excited? LOL

If I checked correctly, the last time I posted, I was at 806 min. I did 50 min. on both Tuesday and Wednesday of this past week, plus 34 on Thursday, and 30 on Friday. I skipped yesterday (heat and I need a day off occasionally) and then did 35 minutes today, which brings me to 1005/1000!

Thanks Rose!

Hoping to read that others have reached their exercise goal as well!

Almost there Kathy! I think you will enjoy being able to look back and see how far you have traveled! It helps me to calculate speed as well, because I am really able to see how much other things effect my workouts such as what I am eating, the weather, etc. I have really enjoyed running the challenge for Julie this month.

You can do it!:goodvibes

I am at my goal for this month.:goodvibes I always debate setting my goal higher--but I really like making it and going over.:cool1: Maybe next month I'll set the goal for 1600 instead of 1500. Have to think about that.

Hang in there everyone. I looked at the long range forecast and at least where I live, the temps are supposed to go down a little bit this week. Hope everyone is able to finish out the month strong!

Woo-hoo! :woohoo:

7/20 75 mins cardio/core
7/21 45 mins cardio/upper body
7/22 70 mins cardio/lower body

7/24 115 mins boot camp/weights/cardio
