July Exercise Challenge - Let's Beat the Summer Heat - 35 challengers so far!

The challenge is on. And it's a challenge by you to you! Challenge yourself to do "x" number of minutes of exercise this month and then JUST DO IT!

Post here as frequently as you like and I will start a list in this post and keep it updated as frequently as I can throughout the month. As you post, please tell me how many minutes you have through that date and what your total challenged number is. For example "I did 60 minutes on the treadmill yesterday, and am now at 60/1200".

As you reach milestones for the month, your name and total will change color in this post.
At 10%, you'll be bright pink
When you reach 25%, you'll be orange
When you reach 50%, you'll be purple
When you reach 75%, you'll be turquoise
At 90%, you'll be red (because you are on fire!)
When you hit 100%, you'll be WISH green!

So, let's go, everyone! Post your self-challenge, and I'll make the list here, and then let's watch the list change color!

Just grabbing this first post... I need to look at my run/exercise calendar for the month with my Half Marathon training to set my goal for time (I know it is 100 miles in the plan for the month - so that's about 1200 minutes there, but I need to add in my taekwondo classes I expect).

I'll be back tomorrow to update the total, but I'd guess at 1600 minutes or so for the month.

I'm going to scale back my minutes for this month since it finally feels like summer and I'll get to do some fun summer things!

I'd like to set my goal for 1000 minutes.

First challenge for me so I am starting out slow. Just started walking 20 mins a day last week. Hope to keep that up so here is mine:

31 days x 20 mins = 620 mins. total

I have been gone for some time and am starting back slow so put me down for 1000.

I am going to be away for 3 of the weekends this month and I'm in a bit of a panic about gaining weight because I won't have much time to exercise. EEK! Time to take as much control of my eating as I've asserted over my fitness. :goodvibes

I am in for 1000 minutes, truly challenging myself considering what my calendar looks like.
 
Well, I"m going to try for 1200 again. The last two months I haven't even gotten close to it, but I'm not going to let it get me down. :)

I'm going for 1600 again. We are going out of town for 5 days next week but my DH promised to go running with me and I am going to write out a quick strength training workout I can do at least twice using my resistance bands and stability ball. Plus we will be walking around town a lot.
 
I'm going to set my goal back up to 1200 for July. I want to get a lot more walking in.

Put me down for 1200! I've started exercising again and this will give me some more motivation!

I did 30 on our elliptical today so

I'm in for 1900. I know I topped 2K last month, but some things are changing and I'm not sure how things will go in July, so I'm being cowardly! ;)
