July Exercise Challenge - Let's Beat the Summer Heat - 35 challengers so far!

Today I walked/ran for an hour and 45 minutes. I completed 6.17 miles at the college. I am SLOW, but it is still minutes that I'm not just laying on the couch...right.

An hour Ripped class, an hour on the elliptical, and 30 minutes on the treadmill...brings me to

Got in 40 more minutes of walking and running intervals last night to bring my total to 120/500! I know my numbers haven't been very big so far, but I am determined to meet my goal this month, by golly!

Last night we went to the gym and spent almost two hours there. We did the following.
20 minute walk (earlier at work)
15 mins on eliptical
10 mins on gliders (those things are HARD)
45 mins of lifting - calf raises (machine), lunges, squats, and backwards lunges

New total:

280/1200

Between walking by myself and with my power walking pup, lifting weights at home, and practicing my pacing in my walking class, I've managed to add 438 minutes these past few days. I might actually be getting used to this humidity - whoda thunk it!

That brings me to 1249/2000.

Hello everyone. Another scorcher here. It's still 94 degrees and it's 11 pm!! Just got back from my walk, 84 minutes tonight. Had planned to try and do some faster intervals to start increasing my pace a little bit, but it was just too damn hot! So another pretty slow walk, but at least I'm moving!!

I wasn't sure where to set the goal at the beginning of the month, but I'm kind of psyched to see that I am going to exceed my goal this month and show myself that I can do more than I thought I could!

80 degrees at 5:30 this morning... but I ran anyway 4.1 miles in 53 minutes.

Total now is 1010/1600

Great job everyone... it sounds like the weather in the whole country is trying to interfere, but we're all doing it!

It was too hot this morning, but I went for it anyway. Just finished a 25 min run on day 3, week 6 of C25K, plus a 60 min walk, plus 35 mins of warm up, stretching and some weight training for the arms. Altogether, it adds 120 mins. Not to mention my fastest mile, longest and furthest run/walk yet. :yay:

I don't know if I'm going to meet my goal but I'll keep trying!
 
just getting back to exercising again -- i'll aim for 300 for the rest of the month.

i'm at 40/300 right now
