Conditions were horrible for a run today. I should have listened to my body and cut my long run short. Instead I slogged through the last 4 miles of a run that felt like torture. After a couple of cooler days, today was a killer.

Are you in Ohio or Alabama? It's nasty out there today (western PA). Stupid humidty!

We leave for vacation tomorrow afternoon so I'm trying my first ever run-before-work run tomorrow morning. I HAVE to get it in thanks to wine and dine training so I'm glad for the motivation. Starting in August I'm going to have to start getting in early runs too, it's just getting too hit and humid.

Well, we had a nice few low humidity days and now it's back to hot & humid again :( I guess we are in the same boat since with trying to fit in early morning exercise. Good luck and have a fun vacation!

Sadly, it's too hot to take the Wonder Mutt running with me, but the little stinker knows that as soon as Mom and Dad get back from their Saturday morning run, she gets to go swimming in the lake. I swear, it's like her puppy crack! :rotfl2: Ever seen a Lab TOTALLY ignore ducks? Yup, that's her! :rotfl:

Today was an off day, but I decided to do a modified P90X routine which took about 45 minutes to complete.

July tally - 1492/3000
 
Just returned from vacation cruise plus extra beach time. Did ok exercise wise. Could have done better but at least I only did stairs and never took an elevator on our cruise. That was a lot of stairs also because we were on the oasis and our room was on deck 17. Also climbed Dunns Fall in Jamaica and walked a lot in Labadee, Cozumel, Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

7/4. 45 minute walk

7/5 15 minute jog on beach

7/7 60 minutes walking/jogging on running deck

7/8. 15 minutes walking on running deck

7/10 15 minutes walking on running deck

7/13. 30 minutes walking on beach

4:47??? :faint: i thought I was awesome getting up at 6:30 this morning and running. (I can get up at 6:30 fine, but I'mnot used to putting on my running shoes at that hour). :cheer2:

We are headed to Hershey, PA in 5 hours! Now I just have to figure out how to do that disney "no-weight gain on vacation b/c you are walking 7-8 miles a day) thing in a place filled with chocolate without all the walking...... :confused3

The elliptical is in the garage. If I had to actually go out and RUN, aw heck no!!! I think if put my running shoes on that early for anything except a race, they would jump right off and hide quivering in a back corner of the closet. :scared1:

I found the best way to avoid a Hershey chocolate issue - train your chocolate taste buds to accept nothing less than Ghiradelli or Godiva! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:
