July Exercise Challenge...Jump In!...Everyone Welcome!

Did a nice longish (but not easy) 4 miler tonight. I have no idea why there is such a difference between how I was feeling on my runs in march and April and how I'm now feeling(like what did I do signing up for a half?!). I'm going to blame the heat. Lol

With my wife:
Warmup walk - 5 minutes
Ran 2.6 miles - 34 minutes
Cooldown walk - 10 minutes

By myself:
Warmup walk/jog - 15 minutes
Ran 4 x 1 mile repeats - 33 minutes
Cooldown walk - 10 minutes

Ok everyone, repeat after me: :teacher: "The treadmill can be my friend. The treadmill is not evil. Eight miles on the treadmill is better than 2 miles outside when it's 90 degrees in the shade and humid."

I love running outside in the summer but when I'm doing the "yay it's not raining!" dance :banana:, I tend to forget about the heat. Gotta take it inside at least every so often when necessary.

I've tried a treadmill at the gym and honestly I thought I was about to get seriously hurt. Even if I have to get up early, and run in the rain (which I love if it is not a monsoon) outside is my only choice if I want to live to walk again. Lol :)

We are coming up on a third of the way through the month. How are you doing? On track to make goal? A couple people are close to halfway! You can do it! :yay:

AM: 25 minute workout video
PM: 25 minute stationary bike
5 minute arm weights

Hoping the rain ends tomorrow. I want to get out of the house and walk! 14/15 days of rain has me feeling soggy!!!
