July 9th 2005 - West Coast Cruise.

Oh, one other thing I forgot to mention:

Our "What's My Line?" thing has apparently become contagious. One of our friends on the thread for our October cruise happened to notice all of the hub-bub yesterday on this thread, and started their own guess-athon.

If you're interested in seeing it, it starts with post #162 on this thread:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=655716 . BeanoC's occupation (he's also a friend, and the husband of the lady who noticed what was happening here) is especially unique--much more interesting than my boring ole' corporate job.

Too funny!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Have a good weekend, everyone!!
Chris

Hey Kim and Sara,

Stu and I aren't very far from either of you -- we're in 6562 (Midship) -- in fact, Kim, we're really just across the midship elevator lobby from your room.
COOL! :Pinkbounc

Are we the ever-so cool trend-setters on the DisBoard?! We have others playing 'What's My Line?" Way groovy!

We're in Stateroom 2058, kicking things up a notch from the bottom up!

Sara, I love my 9/80 days. Gives me time to dig in to projects around the house. Got a lot done yesterday. Now it's off to the nearby home improvement store to see if I have enough tax return money left over for new wood flooring. Does anyone have a discount card to the Pergo store?

I desperately need a nap! Or a relaxing 7-day cruise to Mexico......

That's what I am! Now if someone would just inform my children of that. :sad2: I think Chris has, wisely, already come to that conclusion :cool1:

guys sure have been busy. It's going to take me weeks to catch up - hey, another reason to skip the gym! Thanks, everyone! :love2:

Ok, things have slowed down here considerably since the end of the "What's My Line?" game so who's up for another game?

How about a little "Where on the Magic?". I'll start with an easy one.

OK--I haven't been on the Magic yet, but I have a guess. That looks like the wheel of the Mickey statue in the atrium lobby in front of Lumiere's.

Kim

Kim,
That's a pretty specific guess for someone who's never been on the ship before!! :confused3 :confused3 How did you even know that there *is* a Mickey statue there??

Ohhhh, I know... I'll bet you looked at Sheila's pictures!! Is that allowed? :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

One general comment about weekend posting: I think this group is to be commended for having the proper priorities. The pattern seems to be:

1) Post often during the week, preferably while at work while you're being paid, and get those numbers up for those sail-away drinks, and
2) Enjoy the weekend with your family, and don't worry about the DIS

I think we've got it just right!!! :earboy2: :earboy2: :earboy2:

Chris

Yeah, no cheating and looking at my pictures!

I noticed the trend too that there are way more posts during the week when everyone is at work. Be careful Chris - I know who your boss is!

So, is anyone going to shed a few pounds before the cruise? I did last time, but then when I started eating all that rich, wonderful food my stomach wasn't used to it and I got very sick. I ended up losing an extra 7 or so pounds after the cruise. Maybe I'll use the gym on the ship to keep my weight in line (has anyone used the gym on board). Or, better yet, just enjoy myself and lose it when I get back.

Does anyone know what kind of midnight buffets they have. I have gone on 2 cruises so far and have never made it to the buffets.

Okay, as I am reading this post over it sounds like I must eat an awful lot. I do like to eat but I do keep myself to a size 8.

OK, I had to edit this post, because I was logged on as soccermom.
When you see the corrected post next, you'll know why I had to immediately remove it from her name..........

Nawwwww, not me. I already consider myself to be in shape....

...round is a shape... :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:
Chris - that DEFINATELY requires a re-post........ Darren definately would have had to PAY for that one..... Something round, and VERY sparkley......

Chris--

I did NOT look at Sheila's pictures! But--I have been on these boards NON-STOP since I booked last May...and I've seen MANY shots from around the ship. It's going to seem like coming home when we step on the Magic, even though we've never been! I've also seen that statue in DCL promotional material and on lists of "not-to-miss" shots while on board!

It would be interesting to see how many shots I could actually identify having never been on the ship before! :flower:

Kim

Kim,
If you've never been on the Magic, you have to get the cruise planning DVD. If for no other reason than the section on building the Magic (1/2 an hour + or -). I think the link is on the DCL Web page somewhere...

OK, Karen, if you're a size 8 -- I, um, hate you... (just kidding)! You're probably that size because you don't make it to late buffets - lol!

But seriously, we've been on 3 Magic cruises so far and I haven't seen or heard of ANY midnight buffets except for the Dessert Buffet. Of course, that one would make up for any other buffet (weight-wise) that they might ever offer. It's unbelievable!

Val

Oh Val, I love you! Let me tell you, though, you can be a size 8 and still have LOTS of giggly parts.

I must really read my posts before sending them off. By giggly parts, I meant my hips and thighs.
