I know lots of the med cruisers did get upgrades..and I checked today. Every category except concierge is open..the ship's not full. That's why I'm hopeful.
:goodvibes

I think there is a better chance of the first two itineraries getting more upgrades...they are less full....heck they are discounted at this point. Not ours...we are more full. I am always hopeful. Not expecting because we are a cat 5 already. we paid for the upgrade from a 5 to a 4 on the '08 WBPC, but i don't think we will this time if 4s are available. All we care about is veranda mid ship and that is where we are!!!

Can we still get involved in the Fish Extenders? Of course, we didn't do this on our last cruise ... so really have no idea what it is ... but think it might be fun for the kiddos.

Of course you can be involved. I would just need your room number, names and ages of the kids. If you prefer to PM me the information, that would be fine. If you'd rather email it--send to jhamm3967@wsc.ma.edu.

Here is a great explanation of fish extenders:

Let see, it's getting closer

Dh sent off for Ceremony of the Keys tickets at the Tower of London - I gave them 4 dates to choose from even though you only have to give them 2 but I really want to get tix so I figured that may give us a better chance.

I'm also a little concerned since I was trying to book the Bath, Stonehenge & Windsor tour & a couple people were sold out for the dates I was looking at. I'm considering just doing Bath & Stonehenge. Then of course my oldest ds came home from school & said his Latin teacher said Bath is nothing but yucky green water :headache:

So now I keep going through ups & downs on how prepared I feel :scared1:

A,
Good luck with getting the Ceremony of the Keys tickets at the Tower of London. Is there any chance that you requested July 4? We have tickets for that evening. I find it a hoot that we will be celebrating July 4 in the UK!

Hi all! It's been a busy week and it brings us one week closer to our trip! Yay!

I added the DIS Meet on secret deck 7 to the first page. I imagine since LisaTex was able to reserve it, there might be a sign by the door "reserved for private function." We always enjoy going out there to watch the water and have some quiet time. Bring a snack down from Deck 9 :) Thanks for scheduling that. FWIW, the first sea day will be Wednesday, July 7th - that's when you scheduled it for, right?

Ceremony of the Keys - we were told we should do that but I'm just not sure we'll want to add that one more thing to our London time. We already have so many things we're trying to cram in.

Fish Extenders: Yep, a canvas bag or whatever is a great idea! I made ours for our last trip, but prior to that, we used a fabric bag which collected wonderful goodies and trinkets just nicely!

Are you all going to do door magnets? I'm not sure we'll do any special for this trip - depends on if I get myself together to do them or not - we did for the Med and it was fun to add a new one each day. We have some "name tag" ones that someone on DIS made for us that I'll bring and some "ears" to put over the round part on the door.

FWIW, anyone looking for Fish Extender gift ideas, we always liked magnets - so that's a great idea for a FE gift - maybe a magnet out of our group logo or something like that.

We're off for a few days to WDW for our anniversary. "Sea" ya when we get back!

I hope we get Ceremony of the Keys tickets since it cost almost $30 to send away for free tickets :rotfl:

We were able to get tickets for Stonehenge Inner Circle Access - at 5am and 6:15am :rotfl2: I'm not sure how long I'm going to be the trip planner - they may fire me:laughing:

It's my sister-in-law's birthday on July 4th. We usually go see fireworks together - last year at WDW :thumbsup2. I told her not to expect fireworks this year :rotfl:

I told them we were available July 2,3,4,5 so hopefully we can get in!

Of course since I did that now I'm not sure if/when I should book the Stonehenge tour since I'm not sure of the day. aaarrggghhhh But I think we'd still be back in time for the ceremony.

Thanks for doing that - now I just need to make sure I add that & brunch onto my agenda otherwise I'll forget  & I'd be so bummed since I want to meet everyone :grouphug:

I really want to do door magnets - are there any weird restrictions on them in baggage? I know it's a magnet sheet but I've never done that before

Hope you have fun @WDW for your anniversary :cloud9:

I love those free tickets too - dh tried the PO in town & then ended up calling several who I'm sure thought he was nuts since they had no idea what a return coupon international was!

But you join Kim & I in trip planners anonymous when the family revolts over the plans we made since they didn't help.

for those of you doing the keeper of the keys ceremony at the Tower, are you also planning a daytime visit there? I thought about going at night after watching samantha brown go there, but then decided the kids would get more out of it in the daytime. Just curious..I keep trying to plan Sunday.
My latest scheme is train to Liverpool and the beatles taxi..has anyone been there?

We went to the regular TofL tour the first time in London for the Med cruise. Not sure if we'll go back - depends on the others in our group and what they want to do. Since we didn't do the Keys ceremony (and DH's co-worker recommended it) we thought we'd try this time. I ordered the Coupon Response International coupons online from the USPS. Called about six post offices and they didn't have any/didn't know what they were.:rotfl:

I keep planning these crazy events at crazy times......but my family won't fire me! They are too lazy to do it themselves!:rotfl: This is what I look like planning all the events :surfweb:. Maybe one day my children will return the favor and take me away when I'm old. :rotfl2:

Ahh ....another Samantha Brown fan. I am addicted to her shows. :happytv: That is how I learned about the keeper of the keys ceremony at the Tower. Yes, we are going the next day in the daytime to have the Beefeaters tour and all. It should be fun.
