If DCL doesn't plan one, I vote for Crissup to be in charge of a DIS-viking-night :) Perhaps the night before a sea-day?!

Crissup - good to see you join your family on the thread :)

I'll second! Sounds like a fun idea :thumbsup2

is this any bigger?

the other is too small so I am trying again....

Very cute! :thumbsup2

Just for fun, I made a document of the ship deck plans and printed it out to highlight where the DISers with cabin assignments are located on the ship. Most of us are on the port side. I thought that was interesting! Some of us are neighbors, too.

If anyone knows how to do something like that where the DISers can be marked on the actual ship diagram electronically, that would be so cool to have for future reference (like planning for FE deliveries!).

 Could it be? :scared1: Could I be sailing with the one and only??? :wave2: Hi JR! Did you like your present? A mouse (AKA micsmouse) connects you and I. How was your trip?

Laura, thanks for reminding me -- I owe Cheryl a phone call. Now to just find 2 hours to call her. At the moment we are booked and looking forward to this cruise, but you know how things go in two years, so no guarantees yet. Not sure which trip you mean. I've been on so many lately. All for work.

Sorry folks - just had to share!

Hey All! Just wanted to let you know that I was MIA yesterday due to a last minute plan. My SIL had two extra tickets to catch the Ellen show at the WB Studios in Burbank. So we hauled off our carcasses to the show. It was very last minute and I didn't mention it because we ended up being sat at the top middle row section. I figured my chances of getting on TV were almost nil to none.

Well, I mentioned it to my DIS friend, DisneySweetie and she just called me that she saw me on TV. For a milo-second. :lmao: But hey - I was there. She says that as Ellen comes dancing down the stairs I am off to the edge of the screen. I am saying this because as of now - it has not been shown on the West Coast. I am dressed in black of course, so I don't stand out. We were told to dress business casual and if jeans are worn to make sure they are not torn. I was standing next to a very tall gentleman who's wearing a white long sleeved pinstriped shirt. My daughter Megan is next to me in jeans - she was the smart one and wore comfortable clothes - and a beige cardigan over a purple polka-dotted shirt.

So, if any of you watch Ellen, make sure you tape it! LOL

BTW folks, that woman is SUPER TINY! I know that she looks normal size, but as she was dancing down the stairs I got a good look at her. I would be hard pressed to say that she is a size 6. We finally decided she is between a size 2 and maybe 4. She is very petite and although she was sporting a cold - she was blowing her nose and being checked for bats in the caves ( :lmao: ) she was trying her best to be herself. She was a bit subdued but I can see where she is a very good entertainer. Here I was all pressed to be bored and even I had a good time.

Her guests were Kristin Chenoweth from Wicked and Pushing Daisies fame - the one with the high pitched voice? Some home decorater with how to dress up your table for the holidays and Robin Thicke who floored me with how much he looks like his dad - Alan Thicke. Nice looking guy! and :hyper:

We made it out of there with Robin Thicke's new CD and a couple of samples of some cream for expectant mothers. I haven't opened the package yet as I am in the process of sending out some packages to my soldiers but I wanted to share. Hope you all can catch it. I also made it out with an Ellen jacket which I will post a picture of later. I am trying to get ready for a home volleyball game at St. Paul. So I will post later.

Sorry folks, just had to share!

Just two hours????? :scratchin What's your secret? :lmao: Sorry Cheryl - we :lovestruc you! Hope John's Birthday was fantastic!

JR - your Europe trip - did you end up going to Paris too? I thought you were supposed too but not sure where else you went too.

I love all the designs! When i get a minute or two I'll see if i can come up with anything to add. I've got a new job this year and am working on my masters online and planning our Christmas trip I never seem to have any free time.

Ok its off subject but im very excited...

My daughter got one of the lead parts in the play she tried out for! We switched her to this school this year and its been wonderful! Its a christian school for the arts and she loves it. Anyway, she will be performing in March at the performing arts center.

Im hoping it will keep me busy so I dont realize that this cruise is so far away!:cool1:

THANKS!!! How did you do it? I need to learn how to use photoshop I think...have elements just have never used it....what software did you use?

I used a very old software program I registered over 10 years ago called Lview Pro (http://www.lview.com/). I've never updated it because I didn't like the look and feel of the later versions (too "Window-y" for me, I'm an old DOS guy). So, I stick with the version written for Windows NT 4.0.

However, your real problem is the wrong format. The GIF (Compuserve Graphics Information Format) is the only format that allows a transparent color and animation. You were using JPEG, which is a great format, but won't allow you to designate a transparent color.

Click your help button and type "Create Transparent Image" and I'll bet you find how to do it.

Hello again,

I feel like I'm going to be lost in this group because I don't get to post often. I did take a few minutes to read through the last 10 pages and catch-up. The logos are all very nice. I need to learn how to add one to my signature. I'd love to have T-shirts made too.

I am fascinated that so many of you are able to make plans so far ahead. My life has been a bit chaotic the last 5 year with my husband's job. So we have just been taking things year by year. We waited 2 1/2 year to take our 2006 cruise because he had a job change and we had to postpone a year.

So we are thinking we may be moving to England before the cruise. So I can't make any major travel plans. Whether we are still in Germany or in England, we will probably drive to Dover. Does anyone know if safe parking is available? How much it will cost?

I like to scrapbook when i have the time. Mostly I do digital scrap booking in Photoshop Elements. I'm fairly knowledgeable with it, so I might be able to spend some time creating a viking Mickey.

I'm not sure when I can get to it because my life right now is shuffling kids to soccer, dance, scouts, religious ed, and other clubs. Oh and we are homeschoolers so I should try to fit some of that in as well.

Yeah! :yay: We just changed our cabin to 5020 (SPH) for this cruise! I was stressing a little about the money (who isn't these days?) and this makes me feel better about the trip. And if you think I'm happy, my husband is thrilled!:rotfl: Only my daughter is upset about losing the balcony. She'll survive.

Keggy? would you like an email so you can update the website?

I need to learn this program..is it hard? I have been using Microsoft Picture it! for years but bought Elements a few months back. Bought a big book too on it but just have not gotten into it....It would be great if you could help with a viking mickey. Thanks for the offer.
