Thought I'd post what we have here since I couldn't figure out how to attach it at this point. I hope to get a lot more info together in the next week or so and clean it up a bit to make available.

Children aged 11 to 15 years can get an 11-15 Oyster photocard to travel free on buses and trams and at child-rate on Tube, DLR and London Overground services. (From TripAdvisor) The Oyster card can also be used for buses. Best to ask at the underground ticket agent for a bus map as well, since this will come in handy. While the underground is exceedingly easy to navigate (find where you are, find the stop you want to exit and see what line will take you there), the bus system is a little harder. You will need a good map to find where you want to go, and an eagle eye to see when you get there. Read the bus stop information carefully to know which direction it is going and how many stops until you need to get off. Remember that some stops are "request only" and the bus will only stop if you signal. Just raise your hand as he approaches. These are marked on the upper sign with "Request Stop Only".

Our friends on our cruise last week got these cards for their daughters and said they worked out well for use with public transportation.

Thanks! Lots of GREAT info..

Thanks... Cindi.. Great pictures. What a pretty ship. Bummer you didn't make it to Coco Cay or is it Bay?

It's CocoCay, but from what others onboard told us, we didn't miss a lot - just a beach day -- Castaway Cay is supposedly better - we enjoy it there. Since CocoCay was our first day, we were still getting used to the ship, so we were fine with having the extra day at sea.

If any of you are Amazing Race fans, they'll be in Stockholm next Sunday night!

Hi Fellow Cruisers!

I haven't posted on here in a very, very, very long time! :) I do have bad news, my family is now not going to be going on the Baltic cruise. We've made the decision that we simply won't be able to afford it.

The reason is because...

I'm getting married in Disney World in May!!! :yay:

It's always been my dream to get married there, and my family was very supportive and excited in the decision that we do that instead of the cruise. I wish we had the money to do both, but if I have to miss the cruise at least it's for a good reason!

So, please take our cabins off of the list. I'll still be lurking on this board and watching everyone's plans take shape.

Have fun!:flower3:

Sorry to hear you will not be on this cruise....but....

Wow a Disney wedding, how exciting...somehow I think that IS better then a cruise!!!

Have a great day.....and may you grow old together on the same pillow.....

post pics ok?

Sorry to hear you're not going with us, but Congrats :yay::yay:

I got married there at the Pavilion back in 1995. We were one of the first ones married there. I'm sure things have sure changed since then. There was no dedicated building to meet like there is now. There was no dedicated Cinderella coach at that time for the weddings either. I had to plan my usage around the MK parade. I'm so happy for you. Would love to see pics.

Thank you! I'll post the link to my planning journal and the trip/wedding report once I get them started. :goodvibes

Anyone else book Dream today... We did... Going with a really BIG group. HOpefully... Tina

Yep-
Booked MV last week. When did you book for? We are trying the Deluxe Family Ocean view stateroom. We'll see how the one room works.

How cool for both of you to book 2011. We have not planned anything for 2011 yet. While we want to go on the Dream, we are not excited about where it goes. I want to go to Alaska but to more stops then DCL does on their cruise. Just hanging back. We usually go to Hawaii every other year. That would be the year we go...so may go there. Ko'Olina should be done by then. Who knows we could both be retired by then and have all the time in the world to vacation! :confused3 (fingers crossed)

Congrats to all you Dreamers! We're waiting til we can book a longer-than-five-nighter (probably in 2012, I'm guessing) on the Dream. In the meanwhile, we have this one and Alaska in 2011 to plan and finish paying for.

I'm not too excited about where the ship goes either. That's why I'm happy they are doing 5 night cruises. We've been on enough Carribean cruises to know it is a simple beach vacation. Our itnerary stops at Castaway Cay twice so, the girls will be very happy. I'll have tons of time to take 1000s of pictures too. I've always wanted to go to the adult only beach. We are going with a bunch of friends too so, it should be a fun trip.

We are going to spend 7 nights at WDW before our trip and then, 5 nights on the cruise. We live to far away for just a 5 night cruise so, we added the pre stay at WDW.

Hello all,

We just got back from a week on the Magic. Sort of a warm-up for our Baltic cruise. Our server (Julian for france)was wonderful and we will request him again. Falcon our room steward was the best we have ever had. He was great with our son and stopped by every evening to make sure everything was OK.

Time to really start planning for July.

Denise... did you have your house party tonight? Just wondering how it went!

It didn't happen...:sad2:
Our daughter got sick:sick: Friday (and is still sick) so I had to change the date and then nobody could come....too many people sick or have other plans...
I think it should have been at another time of the year....

I do have the entry token numbers for the free cruise drawing if anyone wants one!! Just send me a message and I will give you one of the codes...they shouldn't go to waste....

Denise, sorry your DD got sick..

We had our DCL House Party and it was a great success! We had all the decorations up that the cruise line sent us, and added many of our own.

We served hot and cold hors doeuvres and dips as well as pizza and bread sticks. Little pastries for dessert, too.

We showed the DVD that they sent us for the party and gave out the goodie bags with lots of great stuff in them! All in all it was a fantastic time... :)

Oh, no what a bummer. I had the flu for 10 days in October and I was out of it so, I agree the timing this year probably isn't the best. I hope she feels better soon!

I'd love a token, I think. you can e-mail me at cisco AT winfirst dot com
