Just dropping in to say "hello". Haven't been on the boards since we booked the cruise because things have been very busy for me at work, my husband had knee surgery on January 6 and my father passed away on December 27 so many things have changed since we booked. However, the one great thing which hasn't changed is we are still planning to cruise with all of you and are looking forward to our magical time together.
We are from Canada and did spend three or four days in London in July 2007 after our last Med cruise but we aren't really familar with the area. Does anyone know if we fly into London or elsewhere? If so, how do we then get to Dover, England? We booked our flights with DCL so do not have any information on this yet.
The pre-cruise excursions people are talking about sound interesting. Are you thinking of doing those on your own or do you think DCL will plan some excursions the day before the cruise?
Take care.
Hi
How are you? I am sorry to hear about your father and hope your husband's knee is okay...
I lost my mother and father when I was younger.. I still missed them...
We still not sure about excursions and we wait and see what DCL excursions... also we think we are going to London for few days then move to Dover for one night before the Cruise...
Dover : better take the trains from London to Dover take about 2.45 hours...national bus takes about 5 hours
Or private taxis take you to Dover ?

I hope your girls are doing okay during this difficult time.
that your DH has a full recovery from his knee surgery. My DH had knee surgery two years ago and it didn't really stop his pain. I guess knees are tricky to operate on.

! Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
) to join in some DIS fun with you guys!
