My guys missed the pack your old socks memo... I just got new ones for DH for the trip.

Glad those of you waiting on documents have gotten them.

Great idea about copying your cards. I need to do that.

the ONE MONTH realization just hit me - wow I can't believe I've been so busy I didn't realize it!!!!

:banana::banana::banana:

are the washers on-board the HE ones? I was planning on bringing the Purex sheets too & was wondering if they work in those washers or if I need to cut them in half??? Crazy I'm talking about Europe & laundry in the same breathe :rotfl:

I bought those too and was thinking of cutting them in half just to be safe!

Found a laundry list from a previous cruise... and we have decided to send ours out to be done :laundy: - afterall, it is vacation... and I  my vacations!!!

We're flying Thomas Cook and I just checked their baggage policy. Yikes! Carryons are limited to one apiece (these include your purse, laptop, camera bag) and can only be a maximum dimensions of 17x11x9 and 5 kilos (about 10 pounds). If your carry-on weighs more than that then it has to be checked through. Your checked allowance is 20 kg (44 pounds) per person. Extra kg are 10 pounds.

Wow! That is certainly going to help us get our luggage down.

My dh is considering not taking his dinner jacket and just wearing a suit and tie and dress pants for the formal nights. Is this appropriate for Palo also? We're not planning on going unless a brunch spot with the dissers opens up, but I want to be prepared.

Thanks for all the suggestions on packing. Now that we are getting so close, all these little details and suggestions really help.

Best thing to do is just start packing and see how much stuff there is. I figure 6 tshirts for the boys is enough...we'll probably end up buying a few on the trip.

I hate the last few days before major trips. I start not enjoying the process and just worry that I'm forgetting something important. The closer I get to departure, the more I worry and get anxious.

Planning a year out is so much more fun and relaxing.

John called me today from London as he was standing outside the London Rennaisance Chancery Court hotel where we will be staying. He posted a small update on the Baltic Tips thread on the main cruise board.

Sounds like I made a good decision not adding on the hotel breakfast as there are many options close by and I thought the hotel buffet was pricey.

It is very close to the tube station, too. He used his Oyster card today and tried out several of the tube connections and lines. It is hard to believe it is so close now to travel time! :)

I received confirmation for our DIS brunch for the 1st Full sea day at 10:30. I was informed, however, that those of us who also had brunch reserved for another day have had those ressies cancelled - SO - if you would rather have brunch on your own instead of with the group - let me know asap and i will try to get you switched back.

let me know if you need any other info!

still in denial about packing - i have the awful habit of waiting until the night before:scared1:

oh - and have i mentioned i also chose this time to buy a house and the closing is supposed to be the day before we leave - great timing:rolleyes1 it will all work out, it will all work out, it will all work out.................................:worship:

Joanne,

My TA confirmed there was availability but could not confirm the day because we mixed up one name on our list (you have to have 14 to book). It won't be the 1st sea day if Lisa's group has that time. There is only the one room and they can only accomodate one group per day. I've given her the missing information and am waiting for her confirmation on what sea day it will be. I'd bet on sea day #2 @ 10:30. I should here back today. I'll let you know as soon as know anything.

Thanks
Jeff

My dh is considering not taking his dinner jacket and just wearing a suit and tie and dress pants for the formal nights. Is this appropriate for Palo also? .

I have seen a wild variety of clothing for both Palo and formal night. The only reason we take DH's Tux is for family photos - otherwise, it would be just the dress shirt and tie. Actually, if he had his preference, button down shirt and cargo shorts..... ;)

Your dh's tie and dress pants will be perfect. :thumbsup2

Thanks for snapping up the group times... I was able to snag a Palo Brunch for 4 on the Wednesday at Sea... Now all I need is dinner for 4 one night and I'm good to go!

Also I bought flat patent leather shoes and dresses for the girls for the St. Petersberg ball. princess:
