Posting now to report that I just finished reserving our DCL excursions and Palo brunch. Everything went smoothly - I didn't have any "time-out" issues, there were plenty of brunch options each sea day to chose from, and I was able to get all of our first choices on excursions. :)

Flights are booked, hotel is booked, transportation is booked, excursions are booked, Palo's brunch is booked, and our Cat4 GTY cabin has been assigned. NOW I can finally sit back, fine tune our plans, and count down the days until our trip! :woohoo:

Just a quick note - just finished booking all our excursions and Palo's! Got everything we wanted! Off to bed now, will report more later. :)

CarolAnnC: For us lowly Silvers, can you tell us that there is still availability for the Palo brunches/dinners? Are the excursions still in good supply?

Nzdisneymom: I've been lurking forever! Please add us to the roster. Our roster consists of me(41), dw(40), & dd's (11 & 13). Cat4.

Thanks!

Hi, I would like to have a pedicure on board.... What are the suggestions if any?? or If anyone knows the difference between the both they are offering?

gracias!!

Well...booked my stuff but just today. Tried last night and my internet was down. Thought it was just my slow computer so tried my laptop and nothing. Gave up and went to bed. This morning all was ok.
Booked:

Berlin on Your Own, 715am to 8pm
Palo Dinner (Stokholm night)
Have private tour for St.P
Rest we are doing HOHO on our own...
might book spa treatment, have to decide.

There were no Hi Teas at Palo's listed. Didn't look at the brunch since doing a group brunch.

Will be able to post more details here tonite after work. But last night, there were brunches, dinners and high teas at Palo. We have never tried the high tea so we will be trying that one. All excursions we wanted were available. Will list them here later.

I did book a pedicure mid trip and there were many times available to choose from last night. I only saw one pedicure listed though, as I recall it was $60. Will put more detail on that here too, later on.

Lisa,

We'll be at Stonehenge on 7/4 as well. We are touring on our own and are stopping by Stonehenge and Windsor on our way to Portsmouth to visit friends for a night before heading to Dover.

We'll be in Stonehenge on the 4th as well! We are staying a few nights in Bath, and doing Mad Max Tours out of there.

Hi everyone.

Just counting down the days until I can book my excursions...pretty excited. A super way to get the kids (and yourselves) excited and prepped for the ports is get some travel videos from the library! Rick Steves is great! We just watched two on London tonight, and even my eight year old is super excited to go to the Victoria and Albert Museum and the National Gallery! It gives you great visual ideas about what to see, and is better and faster and more family fun than reading books or online research. I also got a great video for cruising the baltics! Hits the top ports and gives a history of each port.

I highly recommend this as a prep tool for families with kids. We also do this before we travel and it really really helps! It makes the trips seem less daunting and helps to decide what you really want to see. Plus you learn a lot about each place.

Kind of like watching the disneyland/wdw world travel dvd's with more culture:)

I have 3 boys: 14, 11 and 8. There ARE a lot of kids in this range on this cruise. How great is that? How many are going to the precruise dinner in Dover now? And where will we find a place to accommodate all of us in such a small place?

Hi
I once visited the Victoria and Albert museum and found it very confusing. There was no real lay out to the floors, it was just like a lot of interconnecting little rooms. I much prefer the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum which are just across the road from the V&A. That's just my opinion, each to their own

Hello

For those of you are thinking of visiting the Natural History Museum whilst your in London, the BBC has been showing a series of programmes about it. I don't know if you'll be able to do this in the US, but they are available on line through BBC iplayer, it's free for us here in the UK, don't know how it would work over there, but it might be of interest to you, should you be able to view it. Here's the link.

Hope you enjoy it if it works.
