I have plans for lunch at Sci-Fi and Mama Melrose for the Fantasmic Dinner Package...what time do you think I need to get to Hollywood so the parks will not be closed due to crowds?

Thank you!

My understanding is even if closures begin you will still be able to get in an hour before your reservation unless closure meets a level 4. We are going to MK on the 4th and have lunch reservations at 12:20 which means we will be able to get in at 11:20 even if the closures have started....unless already at level 4. We are pretty much planning on being there for RD but we booked the lunch reservation as sort of a backup to ensure we get in.

Where are you staying?

If at a Disney resort, I wouldn't even think about it. And even staying offsite and driving in, I wouldn't worry about it. Will the parks be crowded since July 4th is on a Saturday? Yes. But how many people are thinking, "I have to be at the Studios with all the closures just so I can see Fantasmic on July 4th!"? Not that many.

Even those here on the board are saying the Studios is a half day park now. Many, many more will be going to Magic Kingdom and Epcot.

That's what I was thinking. That is kind of why I planned Hollywood that day. I have been before and stayed away from MK and Epcot on the 4th and had a wonderful time just being in Disney on this holiday.

Thanks to you both!
