July 4

Animal Kindgom in the morning, pool in the afternoon, and then EPCOT for my first ever Illuminations show! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc (preceded, of course, by some fish & chips and marguaritas!)

Anyone else?

Karen

We ruled out AK (at night I mean) obviously, and we ruled out Epcot too, as we can watch Illuminations any/every night!

That leaves MGM with the rare Sorcery in the Sky fireworks show at 9PM and MK with FITS fireworks at 9PM and SpectroMagic at both 10:30PM and midnight.

I am thinking -- MK in morning, come back to hotel and relax/nap, go to MGM around dinner, watch Sorcery, then scoot back to MK for 1 or both Spectros!

So, no plans really .... ;)

Wow, that's a long day! Just in case, I scheduled a PS at LTT around 7:30PM in case the kids are tired and want to chill out a little.

Have fun everybody!

We are doing Horseback riding in the morning, then moving to Blizzard Beach. OOOPS that wrong that's on the 5th! (edited)

We are doing the pin thing on the 4th and then hanging out around Epcot then rest of the morning. Rest for a couple of hours then head for the Poly ;)

We have dinner at 'Ohana and then we will either go to the MK for fireworks or sit on the beach at the Poly. If we can't do either because of crowds we will go back to the room :) So we (son and I) can make an early start on the 5th ;)

MAGIC KINGDOM

We are planning on staying there all day. I hear that they dont let people in after a certain time. Past guests what time did you guys get there on July 4

I'll be at home in the DC suburbs double-checking our packing job -- we leave the next morning for WDW!

Question, will MK be empty on the 5th since so many folks seem to go there the day before?

We're going to Celebration in the morning, then to Epcot for Illuminations. we are really looking forward to it!!

Relaxing at OKW then over to 'Ohana for dinner. Watch the fireworks from Sunset Pointe then maybe over to MK for a last hurrah.

We were there one year on July 4th and headed over to MK around 3:00 and planned to stay for fireworks that night. It was closed because it was at capacity, so plan accordingly!!!

that's why I'm planning to go in the AM and get my handstamped in hopes that this will get me back in regardless. It's worked in the past (NYE 1999 Epcot)

Gregg

We'll probably spend the morning and evening at Epcot. Even with crowds, it just seems more manageable to move around in that park.

MK will be packed, AK closes early in the evening, and although I'd love to see Sorcery in the Sky, I think MGM will be crowded because of it.

On a MK fireworks cruise in the middle of the Seven Seas Lagoon! No crowds for us!

Shopping @ DTD during the day/swimming @ ASMovies. Then...
Stuffing ourselves w/Lobster @ the Rainforest Cafe (using my vouchers!) then waddling to Poly to watch the fireworks.

No parks for us as we start the FTP on the 5th.

W8ting4pooh - It was my impression that you might not be able to access Polynesian's grounds if you weren't staying there on 4th of July. Maybe that would be difficult to enforce with the monorail and boat access. I guess the only limit they could really enforce would be to not allow people to park there if they weren't staying there.
We are in the same boat as you; we begin FTP on 7/5 so we won't have park access on the 4th. We are also trying to figure out how to see fireworks. We will arrive to WDW around 6:30 PM on the 4th and we will actually be checking into Polynesian on the 5th.

I have a PS @ the Poly for 8 pm so we should be able to get onto the grounds. I guess it will depend on the wait for the table as to whether or not we will be watching from the beach or the restaurant.

:D

I will be coming home on the 4th....I really miss Sorcery In The Sky...we thought it was a better show than MK...it was so easy to watch. You could go out to the ticket area and watch them and then hit the busses without fighting the crowd.

Can't hardly wait...:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Last year we went to the MK for the 4th of July. We got there first thing in the morning to get the special Tink 4th of July pin, then we left and went to MGM. After resting awhile at the hotel, we were back at the MK at 5:00. We had a PS reservation for LTT, but I don't remember for what time. It must have been about 6:45 because we had to wait awhile to be seated. We finished and only had to wait about 20 minutes for the fireworks. We stayed there in Liberty Square. It wasn't crowded there and we had a great view. The fireworks went all aroung the perimeter of the park. It was the most amazing display I have ever seen. I'm glad I didn't let anyone talk us out of going to the MK. Many tried.
Have fun!

turbodisney~Do you think you could see the MGM fireworks from outside the park? If we are staying at YC, might it be worth it to drive over or take the boat to outside the park to see the display?
