July 4- Oct 30 NEW PACKAGE INFO

I called the DC reservation # at about 7:06 a.m. est this morning.

When I asked about the Fairytale package she had a bit of a hard time finding it at first. She had to put me on hold for about five minutes. After coming back in she put in October 18-25th (seven nights) for one adult and one child under 9, and I received the following amounts:

All-Star Movies: $911.00 standard view.

Coronado Springs: $1110.56 standard view.

Animal Kingdom Lodge: $1534.27 Standard view.
$ 1873.21 Savannah View.

All these amounts were w/out trip insurance.

She said the package would include a "character frame, art and pin"?? But didn't give any details regarding these items.

She did say that my cancel policy was five days prior to arrival??
I don't know if she had the correct info in that, though.

Hope this helps someone out there!!

WOOOHOOO

Just got off the phone with WDTC saved us $456.79 and we added another day.

Going for 7 night stay and only paying for 4 nights. July 6-13.

We are staying at ASMo 2 rooms for 6 people (2 adult 3 Junior 1 child)

The CM I talked to also told me it will be opend up to the general public on May11 which is Sunday.

I can't book it. It's for U.S. residents only. Guess my DC membership is useless for this one. We can't get Disney Visa, we can't use our DC membership to the fullest...

Can someone list the "requirements" for the pkg.? ... is the rate based on double occupancy? ...also, what deposit is required?
Thanks.

The deposit would be $100 for DC members.

It would be $200 for non DC members.

There seem to be a lot of CM's who don't know everything about this package. If you are told something you think is incorrect hang up politely and call back and talk to someone else.

I was told 4 different things by 4 different CM's.

You have to get a UPH for everyone in your room.

If you stay 9 nights you pay for six. No matter how many nights you book you only get 3 free.

Good luck

Just called back and got another CM...was on the phone for 45 minutes but got it booked :teeth: ...guess the other CM was wrong about Canadians booking.

Here's what I got:

Poly Gardenview - 7 nights $2055.83 with 7 night/8day UPH

I think it's similar to good code raqes but I booked it for now & will see what comes up later.

Deposit is $100 due May 20th (DC) , cancellation is 5 days (DC) & full payment due 21 days before arrival.

Just got WL for the last week in July, Standard room, for $1621 for 7 nights, 2 adults and one child.

To add the silver or gold package, you still have to add the $67 per person per night to the price and I believe that applies to all 7 nights, not just 4. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but is this such a great deal? Take the AKL package for example--
2 adults for 7nights std. view @ $1479.07--

that's a total of 211.30 per day for two people

Okay, compare that to historical codes--

AKL std. view value season, 139.00/nt.

difference between historical code rate and pkg.-- $72.30 per day

so an adult is geting an UPH for $36.00/day

To someone planning to go to a park 7 out of 7 days, this is a good deal. However, what if you arrive late on the first day and leave early on the last? You get a 5 day UPH for 253.05 (7*36.15)

Still a good deal, I guess, if the people planned on going to parks other than the theme parks.

For the person only intending to go to the 4 themeparks for 5 days, a parkhopper is cheaper than this price.

So, I guess it makes me sad when everyone gushes over Disney reducing the historical discounts offered to its guests....

Ratpack,

Yes, you are correct.

If you add on the silver plan you have to pay for all 7 nts of the silver plan. You do not pay for 4 days of the silver plan add-on and get 7.

jaygatz,

I agree. This is not that good of a deal when you see the prices people were getting on their rooms with codes.

My questions revolves around the UPH..., here is my thought.., I was looking to book for 7 nights (4 paid/3 free). During the time I was going to spend in Disney I would use my UPH that I received with the deal..., however, I was not planning on using all 7 days and "saving" the remaining days for a later trip. I understand the Ultimate part of the UPH will not be available to me on the later trip, but will the remaining days on the passes still be valid? For example:

Day 1 - UPH
Day 2 - UPH
Day 3 - UPH
Day 4 - UPH
Day 5 - Outside Activity
Day 6 - Outside Activity
Day 7 - Outside Activity

I guess I really need prices to see if this would payout for me.., but it was just a thought. And actually the more I look at it, the more I see it doesn't payout.

Any thoughts from the experts?

Gastone D,

I was told all tickets-any part of them-expire at the end of your stay. Nothing left over, etc. for future trips.

Is that what you mean?

Floridafam..., yes that is what I mean. I thought, Disney Passes never expire?

Anyone else know?

I'm not worried about the Ultimate part, just looking for the Park Hopper Passes to not expire.

Ultimate ParkHoppers expire at the end of the last day of your trip. They really are not a very good value, IMHO.

These kind of passes that come with the package expire at the end of your stay.

This usually happens with a package.

Unfortunately, if you booked seperately with just plain park hoppers it would be more expensive.

Disney is basically giving the passes for free with the room at rack rate so it wouldn't be great on their part for everyone to have a bunch of days left on park hoppers-then they wouldn't be likely to book another package in the future.

My Trip cost MORE!!!

Right now I have booked 6 nights- room only at Beach Club Concierge - followed by 4 nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge Concierge. (Me and DD9 travelling)

The total for the 2 of us room only + taxes is 4064.00.

Plus I bought 2 - 7 day park hopper ++'s at 610.00 total - so the total amount of my trip is $4674.00

====

When I called today to price out this Fairytale package - the total for 6 nights BC concierge and 4 nights AKL concierge with ultimate park hoppers included is 4972.48

I think I will stick with what I have LOL. I guess the big difference is I have 7 day park hoppers + 4 days access to water parks.. where this package would be 10 days access to anything.

We don't need that - because there are days we are just staying at the hotel - with no parks planned.

Oh well - last year I paid full rate too - there were no codes for when I travelled.... oh well.

>>^..^<<

Thank you everyone for confirming what I thought would be too good. No worries for me I will just stay at the newly completed Swan for the $129 teacher rate!

Thanks again!

UPH are for the whole trip!

pay 4 days- pay 4day UPH
get 3 days free- get 3day UPH free

In actuality, you are getting 8 days in the park if used to the fullest. If you arrive late on the check in day and leave early on check out day, you still have 6 full days that you can go to the parks. So using your example above, the cost would be with 6 day hoppers (7x139+2x 277) for a total of 1527 which is $48 more than the package. So really you save $48 and have an extra day in the parks as well as you can take a midday break at BB or TL instead of the resort pool or even go to DQ. A lot of freedom and money to spend on souvenirs. This is just the way I see it. I was looking at 7 nights at WL and a 4 PH and this package allowed me to add on the two days that I had originally looked at as being free days as park days even if I just go for EE and leave and still only cost me $44 additional to what the coded rate would have been based on last year.

Breakdown:

WL 7 nights based on last year's code ($129 +tax) = $1007
4 Day Park Hopper = $570 (2 AD, 1 CH)
Total = $1577

FairyTale Package = $1621

Difference = $44 more but with 2 more park days and access to BB, TL & DQ.
