July 4- Oct 30 NEW PACKAGE INFO

I really don't understand how these new codes will work. Maybe someone could explain it. If I am staying at poly 7 nights, I am only going to pay for 4 nights? Do I have to buy a package? Do I have to buy park tickets? Help!!!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

It looks like you are going to have to buy a 4 day package of room with UPH's and get an additional 3 nights of the same for free...

no you can book the trip yourself by calling WDW You must have the DC membership# to book it tomorrow though. General public I think isn't until 5/11
I also have spoken to deb k at Yourmagicaljourneys, to give her CC#'s etc....you can get a free quote by submitting info and you online,,,just put in Deb k for travel agent, she's awesome
I have the WDw confirmation slip from my original ressie,so I know she booked it correctly..
....

OK, and just to make things even MORE confusing . . . .

What if someone wants to add the Silver or Gold options to the package . . . I assume Disney isn't going to give "Magical Wishes" away for free too???

Guess we'll be learning ALOT more about this is the next few days . . . . ;)

THank you, can I book this thr a B&M travel agent as well? I would want to get travel insurance if I was going to have to pre pay for a whole package ( Doing it seperate on my own I'd only be out the 1 night deposits for the hotel, snd still have park hoppers to use another another time) DOes disney offer travel insurance?

Also can this package be booked for more than 7 days?

Thanks for all your help already!!

Aunt Minnie,
Yes you can use any travel agent...
yes you can book more than 7 (we are) but you can't get more than 3 nights free....we are booking the 1st night seperately as we weren't going into any parks anyway,,,,(to use UPH) good luck

:bounce: THANK YOU :bounce:

We're planning to stay 9 nights. If we book 7 nights & then add a night at each end (we're arriving at 11:30 pm the 1st night anyway so the UPH would be useless that day) would we be able to use a code later for each of the extra nights or is there usually a minimum stay (eg. 3 nights) for codes. Just trying to see if this package will be beneficial to us. Thanks.

We are going first week of value season 8/24 - 8/31 and were only planning on 5 day hopper passes. Do not desire to go to any water parks or other minor attractions. JUST for the sake of comparison, I analyzed the cost of staying at a value resort with the "package deal" (as posted at OurLaughingPlace.com) including the UPH tix with paying regular value season rates and purchasing the 5 day hopper passes. No savings! In fact, the "package deal" was slightly more! So for those of us without use for the hopper-plus tix, it may not be a great deal, especially if other room-only or AP discounts come out. HOWEVER, it IS a great offer and certainly may be worthwhile for those interested in the hopper-plus options - lots of luck to everyone! :)

What we can't predict now is whether other codes for room only will come out--or if the package deals are the new way Disney is going to do discounts instead of offering lower prices on just the room.

I think if the typical fall discounts were going to be offered in a few weeks, that would be a better deal for us than this package, but if the room only discounts are not offered, the package is the best way to go.

So I can't make up my mind.

We had a family "disney" meeting Friday night and we decided to upgrade to the cheapest room at AKL. We can do the Savannah view room now and each family will save somewhere in the neighborhood of 850.00.

We would not have normally gotton the UHP but we were going to get the plus pass for the kids. We will visit for the first time things we wanted to do but would not at the extra cost.

Has anyone ever had a savannah view? My SIL will only stay there if she can see animals.

If this is as good as it sounds we will finally be staying at GF!!!!!
Can't wait till tomorrow to find out!!!

I have DC membership too (just renewed at a cost of $49.95 for 6 months   ) but also have an annual pass. My trip overlaps the Oct 31st end date - wonder if there'll be any discounts for us by the time we go

As of 7:02 AM EST the Disney Club webiste has not been updated.
My head is still swimming from yesterday. Was anyone else crunching numbers with this new package yesterday? My head is swimming. Need coffee. Shower might help too. After this is all said and done, we will all deserve 2 weeks of all expenses paid conceirge level.

Everyone is busy doing their new budgets, LOL. I bet there is a lot of Disney DREAMING going on!!

Since we might get a good deal, I might opt for the silver package too. Too expensive otherwise but hopefully I can do it now!

I have to wait until GP - my club membership cx more than a year ago. Bummer.

In doing the math based on the current pricing it looks like a 26% discount. Which is very good.

Personally I don't think people are going to flock to this package in droves. There are a lot of us with APs who don't need a package . Historically Disney should know there are many people
that do room only. I hope it will only take a short time before some room codes come out. It all depends on how much TV time they do with this.

For those of us still waiting, I hope the wait is short.

Good Luck All

Jack

OK

I'm still on the phone. Now the CM is having a hard booking a 4 night package for October.

I was able to book July 4- 11 for $965.09. This for myself and 11 year old son, we're staying at All Star Sports.

It figures!! I'm heading down 8/24-8/30 and I got the DtD CM for the $20.03 a night. I do have one day left on our passes and all our pluses. Had I known this was going to come out I would have waited!!! DANG! My ressie is non refundable too!
Oh well! At least I'll be at WDW but boy the WL would have been nice!
