July 4 at Disney World

Thinking about going for July 4 this year. I've never been and wanted to see what I should expect. I know it will be hot but being from the southeast, that is something I'm used to and I'm sure it's one of the more popular times of the year.

Is going during that time worth it? What has your experience been?

Expect for it to be hot and crowded. (Basically any day at Disney now). In all actually, it can packed due to the holiday, similar to the winter crowds. My suggestion is to plan for breaks and take it slow. Maximize the early hours.

Yeah that's one reason why we're considering Caribbean Beach. It will be easier to take hotel breaks.
