Maybe there has been an answer to this question before, but i am just wondering about the easiest way to to go to Dover for 4 people and 6 luggage. Train or taxi?
Thanks
I can't believe it will only be two weeks. We leave then too!! I know what you mean about busy. Everyone needs to get a hold of me at work for last minute things before I leave. They know that I won't have access to my Blackberry or computer so will be incomunicado for two weeks -- Yippee!!! Of course my kitchen has now been dismantled and it looks so sad!! It is funny what you miss that you take for granted -- for some reason I really miss the Kitchen sink!!!! Not sure why but the laudry tub is a poor substitute! And as if I don't have enough stress with packing, the kitchen, and work -- my A/C is on the fritz!! They are coming tomorrow to fix but since it is 13 years old I suspect I will need a new one!! Of course I will be in no position to haggle as my house gets really hot during the day so I won't feel up to "shopping around"!! It is always something!!! I will need the vacation!

2 weeks til you leave... your girls must be so excited. I know what you mean about working hard before you leave. Although my teaching job has almost finished and requires virtually no more work my other job needs a lot of pre trip work. My Mum and I run an online scrapbook supplies store and part of that involves me working with the product as part of our Design Team - I have a whole lot of projects I have to finish before we leave (I love that part of the job but I prefer to have less hastily approaching deadlines!) also we have a blog for scrapbooking and papercraft inspiration and I need to schedule the posts for that before we leave so that is 20 extra posts to make in addition to each of the days before we leave, I am running dry on the inspiration!
Today I have had quite a productive day. I took Isabelle to "moving up day" at school this morning where they meet their teacher for next year and spend the day with them. Then I got through my epic list of phone calls sorting out various silly little problems that need sorting but I hadn't got around to. Then I found out that the main Post Office in the next town does carry $1 bills so I have had some put aside to collect later for my room service money! Livvy has had lunch and gone to sleep so I cracked on and made some more bits for the Fish Extenders.
Phew, I am, by nature, one of lifes amblers, mooching along getting not much accomplished but having a nice time doing things slowly and in my own way so I am quite surprised that I got up feeling like i really should tick some jobs off my to do list!
Anyway, off to do a little more work on the FE gifts before it is time to get Izzy!

Sounds like your on the side job is a lot of work right now, hopefully you will not get too stressed out with it. Getting ready for vacations should not be so much work, but I cannot imagine not having vacations so it is the price you have to pay.

I'm sailing with my parents on this cruise and I've just been lurking as for a change i won't be doing any Dis related stuff (seeing as i'm with family and not just me and DH)
My parents have asked me to find out if i knew why they had been charged an additional $24 to their credit card on 1 July (they booked in early June thru Dreams Unlimited so i told them to email DU aswell).
I'm guessing it is something to with a change in port taxes - but has anyone else noticed a charge onto the credit card with which they paid for the cruise?
TIA
That is strange because I was reading another forum that some people got refunded money which I have not got it...
now you mentioned that your parents got charged from Dreams Unlimited... very strange to me...
I think your parents should contact DU asap...

All of her shoes which match the dresses are too small

Sorry if i wasn't clear they were charged the extra by DCL and not DU (DU just enter the credit card number into DCL system). I've had a refund of port taxes on previous cruises but not an extra charge.
Just wanted to find out if anyone else had noticed an additional charge on the credit card for this cruise.
I got a credit of almost $50 CAD.

he got a new lovely linen wasitcoat with shirt and jacket to match as colour beige...
have to be black or didn't matter along to wear smart clothes?
I don't have black bow or black jacket for him
