July 30, 2010 Mickey's Adventures England to Espana Cruise

Wow this is great to hear I am not the only "crier". My son thinks I am crazy!

Can't believe it will be only two weeks. Woke up this morning with a jolt -- a 3.6 magnitude earthquake in Maryland (near Washington D.C. and Baltimore). For some reason I knew what it was right away but it was intereting feeling the ground shake.:rolleyes1

Kithen is looking great -- cabinents are up, floor is half done and they install the granite this afternoon! I will even get my sink and dishwasher back -- don't know which I missed more!!

A/C is fixed -- turned out to be minor and it cost me nothing as I have a contract! Life is good. Now I can finish packing!:woohoo:

See you all soon.

Sheryl

Wow they are making good progress on your kitchen.

We had an earthquake in Toronto a few weeks ago, it is a strange feeling, but not as bad as the earthquake we experienced in Hawaii in 2007:eek:. We were on the 47 floor of our hotel and there were no elevators for over 18 hours, it was a long walk up, and you had no idea how long the power was going to be out and if you were going to be able to find places to eat. I can't imagine what the people of Haiti must have gone through.

I probably will not get packing down till next Monday, it is much easier packing for a warm place in the winter as you don't need the shorts then.

Hi everyone: did you know that when we leave Dover, it will be excatly 12 years since the Inaugural Voyage of the Magic? That was on july 30th. 1998...
Think that's a very good reason for an onboard party !!!! :rockband:

Thanks for the bit of history! I am sure there will be celebrating on board.

Hope the Baltic cruisers have a great time, only 12 days left. Not doing much in the way of preparation today as DH is building a garden shed so I am looking after the children.

I went and had my hair cut and coloured yesterday though :)

DEBORAH! It won't be long now and you'll be back on the Magic! :woohoo:

I have an assignment for you (and all the other DISers on board!). It's time to torment....uh, I mean tease HANDSOME DANIEL. So if any of you have the opportunity to chat with Daniel (England) the Food & Beverage officer (and you probably will, he's all over the ship and loves to talk to guests) as you are talking look at his nametag and they say, "OH, you're the HANDSOME Daniel we've heard about". This has been a running joke with him all year, and I don't think he's heard it since the transatlantic, so it's time to remind him. We even gave him a nametag that said Handsome Daniel (much to Brent's amusement).

Here's a photo so you know who I'm talking about.

Don't be shy about doing it....it will make him smile!

Everyone have a fabulous trip!

Hi Everybody

We back from Sunderland, as we went along to surprised Ian's sister 40th birthday party... but she was not well and she was sick and sore stomach...- what a shame as the party was smashing... and one of his cousin Kelly was singing all night as she is good singing...I told her that she should go XFactor lol as she had the contact with the club at Manchester...

Ian's sister Joanne was gobsmacked to see us and we were hiding in the back garden and she was crying to see us...Oh bless her...

Lisa

Ah, yes the Panama Canal...where we first laid eyes upon him :lovestruc...
...:lmao:I think he's on the ship till October, when he goes to Germany to get things 'ship-shape' on the Dream.

I don't remember if DJ Mike was on the EBTA, we did most of our bar lounging in Diversions that trip.

See if you can stay out of trouble this time, missy!

Scottishwee35, glad you found your shoes:love: The ones I searched long and hard for are giving me blisters:eek:

Next cruise will be us:banana:

See Peter is the CD on this Baltic cruise, he was an assistant on one of the cruises I have been on, and he is not a favorite, oh well, I am sure we will not be running into him much.
