Sorry if i wasn't clear they were charged the extra by DCL and not DU (DU just enter the credit card number into DCL system). I've had a refund of port taxes on previous cruises but not an extra charge.

Just wanted to find out if anyone else had noticed an additional charge on the credit card for this cruise.

Oh Sorry my mistake...

I didn't have refund money which I paid full...

I noticed that people who booked Cat 12 had refunded the money too....

I think whatever you want to take will be fine, it doesn't have to be black.

Lisbon is my biggest challenge, not sure what to do there I think we will try to get to St George's castle by the tram, what are you planning on doing? How is the Med planning coming?

In Vigo we are doing a DCL excursion Border Country, which goes to the fortified city of Valenca, it was actually one of the few DCL excursions that sounded interesting. Looking at what is still available for DCL excursions I don' think I am the only one that was not impressed with the choices. I ended up cancelling all mine except Cherbourg and Vigo.

In Lisbon we are going to take the shuttle into town (I am sure I read there was a free shuttle from the port to the town) and then take the metro to Oriente station and going to the Oceanarium which was built for the 1998 Expo.

We will do that in the morning, then head back to the ship for lunch. After lunch I have Livvy booked into Flounders, Izzy will go to the Oceaneers Club and Darren and I will head ashore to do a little ambling round port.

Med planning going ok, more DIY excursions planned. Really excited about the two cruises now

Phew, panic over. We got a $48 credit for this cruise and a $42 credit for the Med one so the total will pay for our Exotic Rasul!

Don't know if it will help, but I think where the Magic Docks in Lisbon is near the Metro station Cais de Sodhre.

Formal Night is Sunday (first sea day) Semi Formal Night is Thursday (Gibralter) and Pirate Night is Wednesday (Cadiz)

I think we are meeting at 3pm on embarkation day in the Promenade Lounge but I am sure someone else will confirm that.

I woke up this morning feeling very excited that the cruise is so close. FE gifts are really coming along now and my to do list has lots ticked off it (ok still lots to do but we are getting there!)

I haven't even done any magnets yet let alone a check list.
I have 5 days left at work. That is just fab.

I can't believe in 2 weeks time we'll be at the Port! I'm sure the tears will have started by now and i'll spend the whole day a blubbering wreck!

Can't believe it will be only two weeks. Woke up this morning with a jolt -- a 3.6 magnitude earthquake in Maryland (near Washington D.C. and Baltimore). For some reason I knew what it was right away but it was intereting feeling the ground shake.

Kithen is looking great -- cabinents are up, floor is half done and they install the granite this afternoon! I will even get my sink and dishwasher back -- don't know which I missed more!!

A/C is fixed -- turned out to be minor and it cost me nothing as I have a contract! Life is good. Now I can finish packing!

Must be something going on with the A/C's this week. We had a house full of company and ours went out at 10:00 p.m. It was 100 degrees outside. Managed to have the minor repair completed by the next afternoon. Our visitors were VERY happy.

I need to start my packing this weekend. I have everything in one room, but I still need to see how much room I have in the suitcase. I have to work next Saturday, so this weekend and next Sunday are it...

I still can't believe the trip is finally here!!!

Dylcal and Scuba Mickey, glad your A/C is fixed, it can't be much fun in the heat with out it.

So this weekend and early next week i need to step up a gear with the packing and preparations. Most of the kids clothing is put aside, they think Mummy is having a big sort out of the clothes which is why half their clothes have disappeared! I need to sort out our stuff and put as much of it in the packing room as possible.

Hair colour appointment is tomorrow, there isn't enough time on the 30th when I have my other appointment to get it coloured then and I am treating myself to haighlights again

My cousin is staying this weekend and I am hoping to rope her into helping with the last FE gift which is a crafty one and is taking a while to put together.

Anyway, off out for dinner with said cousin - Zizzi Italian Restaurant here we come, mmmmmm yum!

Is there any requirement to participate in the meeting? I know that you guys are doing the FE gifts exchanges, but I find out about that too late and now I have not time, I haven't even start packaging...I just wanted to show up wiht my DH and DD (4) and be able to meet some of the people of this board and she can meet some kids of her age, she is a little shy, well, sometimes..

I did have time to print some magnets for our room and a t-shirt for the trip (following all your tips) but I'm afraid I have not time for anything else.

No, of course there is no entry requirement!!! We would love to have as many as possible join us. My DD just turned 5 and although she is not normally shy it would be lovely for her to meet some little girls her age at the start of the cruise.
