Hi,
We are B2b'ers too!
Booked yesterday at the great cat 12 price!
Does any one have any idea when we will receive our cabin numbers?
DS is off to Uni in the UK in September,so am looking forward to spending a little time with him before he flies the nest.
Any other singles or lone parents traveling with children care for some company at Palo for brunch ?
Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Wow lucky you, i reckon you'll get cabins assigned soon as I got mine at the 45 day mark. Have you checked the website???

Reckon its going to be a packed ship... just been on disney website and only have category 4/5/6 left!!!! Yet on the Baltic ones leaving before us still selling GTY12.

Depends on your bank. they offer different exchange rates and some charge a fee for each transaction - not so bad when cruising and paying a one off amount on your shipboard account but it would have added up to a lot when we were in Florida last year and charging everything tot he card.

We use www.fairfx.com I found them from recommendations on the UK Trip Planning forum here on the Dis. They generally have a better interest rate than most currency exchange places. You pre load the card in advance so then when you are paying for something you know the funds are already there and there is no wondering what rate you will get on that day.

I like it because it keeps my holiday money separate too - as we earn naff all interest on savings at the moment it doesn't bother me that I am not earning interest on it - I can see how many dollars I have and they are safely tucked out the way so can't accidentally use the holiday money to pay the window cleaner or whatever!!!

Last Weekend we we're in Disneyland Paris, and spend a whole lot off our time at the swimmingpool in our hotel (Newport Bay Club). During the day it was also very hot!
Sunday we leave for Papenburg to take a look at the new Disney Dream...

sound great fun... and enjoy it on Sunday

Hi Allison, cool where you staying? I didn't realise Dover was so small the premier inn was fully booked so we're in a b&b, stopping at evenia rocafort when we get to barcelona. can't wait now.

Anyone travelling else traveling with under 3's?

Hiya not been on for a few days. Life seems really busy at the moment what with kids parties etc. We are staying in the premier inn at the docks on the Thursday night and the Holiday inn express in barcelona. My youngest is 4 and the other is 7.

And 2 weeks from today the insanity starts. DD has orientation at her new university, then I leave for a week at a continuing ed course. I get home on Sunday night and leave for London on Monday. Yes, I know, I'm nuts.

I'm also afraid to check the DCL website. It and my luggage tags show that we got some pixie dust for the first time in MANY years, and I'm afraid to look because I don't want to see that they've taken it away. I know that doesn't happen often, but it has been known to happen.

On the positive side, we've finally had several days of below 90 weather (after the hottest June since the record keeping started) so I've been able to get a lot of yard/outside work done. I want to cruise!

the only place you will need Pounds is the Post Office to buy stamps.
Go on, ask me some trivia questions about Gibraltar!(We live in Spain,about 30 mins drive to Gib}

So I can go with Euros for Gilbralta and just get the pounds for London? This would make it easier to plan! Thanks.

The girls have been away at their grandparents for the last few days, so I have been using the extra time to get in some long walks to prepare for this trip, and I realized I cannot walk 3 days in a row in the same shoes, so there goes my dream of only bringing 2 pairs of shoes.

Was looking at the DCL website and this cruise is no longer showing available, I can't believe it went from wide open to sold out in 2 weeks. Was trying to figure out what day we are in Cadiz, is it Tues. or WeD?

Only slight problem is we have to move cabins in between our B2B cruises,no big deal,pleased I managed to book both.
