July 30, 2010 Mickey's Adventures England to Espana Cruise

Hey there MrsMac,

We are from the U.S. (North Carolina). My girls aren't exactly twins although they act like it a lot of the time :) Jillian is Chinese and Sarah is Kazakh. It would be great to get them all together somehow. Jillian makes friends very easily and is very social, Sarah is more reserved,. She loves to play and have lots of fun, she just isn't the first in line.

Yep we are getting really very excited about the trip!

John

We are from NC as well. Just outside of Raleigh.

yippeee...6 weeks...how many sleeps is that :yay:

Going to do some serious packing tomorrow...well...mine and Dh anyway...apparently there are just somethings our DDs cant live without before then:headache:

going to sort out my FE gifts too..i take it our list is definative now then:confused:

Definitely lots of little girls on the trip! Mine are 4 and 6 and we have late dinner seating too!

My 5 year old will no doubt love playing with your girls. Glad to see there are some younger ones too - there are quite a lot of 8 - 12's I think but now it seems a good few of the younger age too.

Hi,

Long time lurker, have cruised on Disney before and other lines. My DW, DD's (10) and (10) and I will be on the D2B cruise. Would love to meet other folks with kids the same age to give the girls some new friends to hang with (1 is shy, 1 is social). We have a late dinner seating.

Thanks

Jlat

Hi there,

Our DD Niamh is 9 and although usually social can be shy in situations where she doesn't know anyone. Am hoping she meets some nice friends on the cruise. We have late seating too.
Katie

Hello

My dd is deaf and 10 half years old with full condifent girl but she is tomboy and love football.... I hope she meet friend while on cruising...

There are NO category 7 inside rooms. All cat 7 rooms have a balcony--some have the "Navigator's verandah," some have a partial obstruction to the view (I've sailed in those, they are nice!).

Maybe you mean that they are on DECK 7 in an inside room...which could be a cat 10 or a cat 11.

And...to the other poster...yes, they can downgrade you after you get an upgrade. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen. If they can get someone to pay for your room, they'll happily take the money and bump you. If you booked gty, you can be moved up to the time you check in at the terminal. If you were upgraded, you can go down to what you originally booked.

Hi

yes look like cat 10 or cat 11 on deck 7 i checked it and it is inside room opposide balcony....

so wait and see until near the times, can change or stay same....

Mel my 5 year old twins will be big playmates for your eldest daughter, and like yours, mine know nothing about their holiday! Nor does my eldest daughter age 10!! Its such a whopping great secret to keep and I am nearly getting soooo excited I may have to share it!

MrsMac

Loads of girls I have girls too aged 5 and 7 we are on early seating :) We come from england about and hour from port.

Glad to hear there is another 7 year old girl, and someone else doing early seating. My youngest never wants to go to the clubs and if she knew another girl her age it would help.

Not many people doing early seating. My oldest likes to run to the clubs right after dinner so with lots doing late it is going to be pretty empty in the clubs between 7 and 9, as I imagine the late seating people will be at the shows. Last time we were on the Magic the Lab was always up on the sports deck between 6:30- annd 8:00 which was awful because would have to take my daughter to get changed out her dinner clothes and then run her up to the sports deck. In March on the Wonder they seemed to have things in lab and the sports deck so I am hoping the Magic does that this time.

I am just waiting for 1 more cabin and then I will send out a final list.

I just got my cruise docs today!! Looked inside to see if there was a cabin upgrade, but it showed the cabin we booked (Cat 9) :(
We are travelling with another family member who booked GTY Cat 12, so I went on line to check her cabin and saw that are Cat 9 is now a Cat 6 and our Cat 12 is not Cat 11!!!
So hopefully lots of upgrades for everyone!

Had an e-mail from DCL telling us to write the new stateroom number on our tags. Our docs are obviously in transit too!

Congratulations everyone on their upgrades

You have done so well to keep it a secret this long, do try and keep it for just the last few weeks. Imagine how excited they will be!

Do we have a Dis meet planned so these girls can all get to meet early on in the cruise?!

I know there was talk of one many pages back but was anything agreed?

Good morning everyone! We are getting so excited for our trip. Our big adventure starts in 2 weeks and 1 day! :scared1::scared1:

I am almost in complete panic mode! We are having a large graduation party today for my oldest son and then we celebrate father's day tomorrow and my son and I drive in the evening to his new college :scared1::scared1: to register for classes for him!

Next weekend we have a big neighborhood party and then the weekend after that we leave! I have no idea how we will be ready. But I am taking it one day at a time! I will be peeking in as much as I can!

Enjoy your weekend everyone, I am so grateful that we have great weather for our party! :)

:cheer2: :cheer2: 6 WEEKS TO GO :cheer2: :cheer2:

:yay::cool1: UNTIL THE ENGLAND TO ESPANA CRUISE :cool1::yay::banana:

:thumbsup2  :woohoo:DCL HERE WE COME!!! :woohoo:  :thumbsup2

Suddenly with room assignments etc... it is all seeming very close to cruising time. I might get DH to get the suitcases down and put them in one of the spare rooms so I can start moving things in there properly for the trip. I like to do a leisurely pre trip packing routine which involves adding things that have been bought specially or which I know we won't need before hand so that we can get the stuff in the right place before proper packing commences!

DD's still don't know about the trip, hopefully they won't go into the packing room but I will have a cover story ready, at only age 5 the oldest is still pretty easy to fool with an elaborate cover story and the 2 year old just doesn't have the concept of going on holiday!

As I am ferrying DH to and from the pub tonight so he can watch the England match with his friend and still have a drink I am hoping to earn some brownie points and leave the kids with him on Saturday while I go on a solo shopping trip to look for some of the things we still need to get. I am being good and not buying too much new stuff as a lot of the things from last summer will still do just fine :)

Wow, just six weeks - I am a teeny tiny bit excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I got my shopping trip, albeit a quick one but I ended up buying TWO lovely new dresses for me to wear on the cruise. I ended up opening a Debenhams account so I could save quite a bit of money on the dresses.

Now i really must concentrate on getting the last few things for Darren and the girls before we leave!
