July 30, 2010 Mickey's Adventures England to Espana Cruise

Booked Cat 12 for 4 - got 5518 Cat 8. We are so happy to have a window! Anyone know what the chances are of seeing another free upgrade before we sail? Do they ever downgrade once they have assigned number?

Not sure if anyone is interested, my wife, 14 year old son, and I are booked for a 3 hour tour in Lisbon. I found them because they were one of the top rated tour groups on tripadvisor. tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g189158-d1775700-Reviews-We_Hate_Tourism_Tours-Lisbon_Estremadura.html
Tour will pick us up in a Jeep from the pier and drive around the top attractions. Then drop us off in the middle of the City wherever we wish for lunch and then we were planning to walk around on our own. The jeep only fits 7 so we can only take 4 more. It would be great to go with another family that has children around my sons age. It is only 15 Euros per person. If interested, please reply to this post and let me know. I will let the them know to reserve your seats with us, I think they just need names and email. You pay them when the tour is over. It is the "King of the Hills" Tour wehatetourismtours.com/?p=MenuPage&MenuId=14 Bruno, the owner, will pick us up.

Can you PM me a few more details regarding pick up times ..we might be interested.:goodvibes
Do you know if there is a nearby beach they could drop us if we didn't want to be dropped in town ???

We are 2 adults (two Judy's - one old, one young (er) !) and my kids DD9 and DS13.

They CAN change room assignments once they are already done but it doesn't often happen. I believe that it is possible but not likely tat they could downgrade you again - I would think it would be something they avoid if at all possible, it doesn't make for happy customers!

I dont think I am allowed to PM because I dont have enough posts. I am newer to the boards, so I am not allowed to PM or post URLs (that is why I had to remove "www" frojm the urls in my post otherwise I got message saying I cant post).

The pick up time is 9am and he has agreed to come to the ship to get us. I am not sure about the beach. When the tour is over we were planning to get lunch and then walk around the city. Spliting up at that point is not a problem, but I am not sure if he will be able to drop you off at the beach or if you would have to take a taxi.

Hi,

Long time lurker, have cruised on Disney before and other lines. My DW, DD's (10) and (10) and I will be on the D2B cruise. Would love to meet other folks with kids the same age to give the girls some new friends to hang with (1 is shy, 1 is social). We have a late dinner seating.

Thanks

Jlat

Hi there,

Our DD Niamh is 9 and although usually social can be shy in situations where she doesn't know anyone. Am hoping she meets some nice friends on the cruise. We have late seating too.

Myself and my 3 DD's will be with you on the cruise - like you I have twin girls, mine are only 5 (does it get any easier??) and my eldest daughter is 10 so she's a candidate for playing with your girls I hope. We have late dinner seating too. My husband and I have cruised before but this will be the first for the girls - we are from Northern Ireland. What about you guys?

Imagine, 6 weeks today and we'll be there - I wont sleep a wink the night before!

Hey there MrsMac,

We are from the U.S. (North Carolina). My girls aren't exactly twins although they act like it a lot of the time :) Jillian is Chinese and Sarah is Kazakh. It would be great to get them all together somehow. Jillian makes friends very easily and is very social, Sarah is more reserved,. She loves to play and have lots of fun, she just isn't the first in line.

Yep we are getting really very excited about the trip!

Oops sorry about that John, hope I didn't say the wrong thing - just automatically thought of twins because Jillian and Sarah were the same age! One of my twins is Sarah - she's the girly one! Likes Princesses and all things pink. Aileen on the other hand is such a tomboy - she will be mad keen to see Buzz and Woody etc! She's waiting impatiently for Toy Story 3 to be released. As for Rebecca - she is the 10 year old. She's a mixture of Sarah and Jillian - will be quiet and reserved for about the first half hour then will be their BFF for the remainder of the cruise!! Mine do not know they are going. They know there's a holiday booked but not that its a cruise! We have done Disneyland Resort Paris 4 times and they LOVE Disney - so do I!!!! They all watch "The Suite Life on deck" but I'm not sure they have any real concept of a cruise - can't wait to see their faces when they see the Magic right before we get on her!

No worries at all, I have to explain it a lot when I tell people their ages ;)
It sounds like our girls are very similar. Jillian is our Princess (Mulan, of course is her favorite) and is a pink-a-holic. Sarah is a tomboy too, and asked me tonight if we were going to see TS3. I told here that we probably would see it on the boat, but she wants to go tomorrow :) They are bigtime Disney fans, and have been to Disney World in FLA every year since they were 2. (maybe it is me that is the fan). Its a pretty easy trip for us from NC. We did the Caribbean cruise a few years back and they loved every minute.

John!

My mil and fil booked Cat 12 and they got upgrade to Cat 7 but inside room...

Scottishwee35

There are NO category 7 inside rooms. All cat 7 rooms have a balcony--some have the "Navigator's verandah," some have a partial obstruction to the view (I've sailed in those, they are nice!).

Maybe you mean that they are on DECK 7 in an inside room...which could be a cat 10 or a cat 11.

And...to the other poster...yes, they can downgrade you after you get an upgrade. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen. If they can get someone to pay for your room, they'll happily take the money and bump you. If you booked gty, you can be moved up to the time you check in at the terminal. If you were upgraded, you can go down to what you originally booked.

John!

My DD lovesMulan and has never found anyone who even knew who Mulan was let alone liked her! Its great on the cruise though because when it comes to the pictures ops and autographs there is just usually 2 people in the line- her and somewone wanting Jasmin! She gets ages spent with her! Only thing is that she goes very quiet! May be it will be different this year. She is 12 now!

:cheer2: :cheer2: 6 WEEKS TO GO :cheer2: :cheer2:

:yay::cool1: UNTIL THE ENGLAND TO ESPANA CRUISE :cool1::yay::banana:

:thumbsup2  :woohoo:DCL HERE WE COME!!! :woohoo:  :thumbsup2

Suddenly with room assignments etc... it is all seeming very close to cruising time. I might get DH to get the suitcases down and put them in one of the spare rooms so I can start moving things in there properly for the trip. I like to do a leisurely pre trip packing routine which involves adding things that have been bought specially or which I know we won't need before hand so that we can get the stuff in the right place before proper packing commences!

DD's still don't know about the trip, hopefully they won't go into the packing room but I will have a cover story ready, at only age 5 the oldest is still pretty easy to fool with an elaborate cover story and the 2 year old just doesn't have the concept of going on holiday!

As I am ferrying DH to and from the pub tonight so he can watch the England match with his friend and still have a drink I am hoping to earn some brownie points and leave the kids with him on Saturday while I go on a solo shopping trip to look for some of the things we still need to get. I am being good and not buying too much new stuff as a lot of the things from last summer will still do just fine :)

Wow, just six weeks - I am a teeny tiny bit excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are not a little excited.

More like too excited, now I am starting to get into panic mode. My oldest daughter is so worried about the time change and being too tired to do anything. She has decided when school is finished she wants to change her schedule to mirror European time, I tried to explain to her that would mean going to bed at 4 in the afternoon and getting up at 3:00 in the morning, probably not a good idea.
