Hi all,

I'm busy recovering as I've had a bad case of food poisioning this week and am on anti-biotics. It was so not good being unable to eat! I am now on small portions thankfully, but reading the dis and people talking about Palo hasn't helped

We've still got 4 weeks left at school - and its busier than ever. I am so looking forward to the summer.

Dave is working away for the next week and a bit. He is on the Isle of Lewis which is an island off the top of Scotland - about as remote as you can get! So its just me and the dogs.

I have got a favour to ask someone, DCL wont send their promo dvd to the UK. One of my friends from school is wanting to see what I keep talking about and is interested in possibly booking a 3-4 day when they next visit WDW. If possible could someone get an up to date DVD and post it to me. Please send me a pM if you can help,

Sorry that things have been so tough with your mom, MaryAnn, but the aide sounds like a wonderful idea.

As for us and a mini-meet, we are gone July 5-19, and then again August 9-Sept 10 . . . if you do it some other time I will definitely be there, and if you need to do it while we are gone, I will see you next time!

We'll also be away and have things on different weekends. It might be easier for everyone to do a Fall Dis mini-meet. Vacations will be over by then. What do you think fellow Dis'ers?

Autumn is beautiful in New York, as you know, and if we wait until late September or early October, the late summer heat should be gone, too . . .

As hot as we were last week, we now have turned cool . Who knows what will come next?

It was nice to hear from Sandra again. I know all too well what the end of the school year is like for everyone. I just went to lunch with everyone I worked with to celebrate that "it is over"

Maryann, I am so glad you have help with your mother. No one can do everything and don't let yourself think that you can.

JoAnn, hope you had a wonderful graduation and a great party!

I took my mam shopping today and the supermarket I went to had a special ' American goodies' section - I bought some Reeces peanut butter cups , Hot dogs, mustard ,USA chowder soup mix, and some muffins. ( I resisted the brownies) So I'll have a hot dog on Friday and think of you!
(ok I admit it I have already eaten a packet of Reeces -good job I bought 2)

Hi Everyone,
I was just checking on some mail, when I saw something from the Disney Cruise line website. I have been thinking about everyone quite often, but I have been dealing with the death of a close friend, and I just haven't had the strength or will to get on line.
I went back and read a few posts- Im so happy everyone seems well, and planning trips. I miss everyone so much. Everyone here is fine- we are all enjoying the start to our summer vacation!!
I hope to check in more now-

Maryann I will call sometime this week to catch up.
I hope everyone thought of me when the Pope came to my land! He called and said he had his propeller hat with him, but he didn't think it appropriate being his first time here. I told him I fully understood!

I speak to Izzi weekly- ( Thank goodness she has a generous boss who dosent mind her making long distance calls!!) She is fine, although Joshua will be having back surgery this week for a very severe case of Scoliosis.) WE are planning on attending his barmitzvah next year in England if all goes well.
We met them in Disney in April and had a great time. I needed to get away and it helped !!

I hope everyone has a great 4th although the weather here stinks!!!

Just about a year ago, we were almost on our way. Does everyone remember the T-shirt frenzy with all the tags on the back? How about the lanyard orders and figuring out how to use paypal to pay for them. We really had a fun time prepping for that cruise!

My second DD is currently in Rome until tomorrow. She's been there for 7 weeks studying and touring Florence, Venice, Cinque Terre, Barcelona, Paris & Vatican City. She is basically going back thru some of the ports from last summer for an extended stay!

Hi everyone from the West Coast.

Things are going well here - Nick & Kelly are doing fine, too. Kelly & I just got back from a camping trip in Sequoia National Park. It was beautiful up there.

We WERE going to go back to Spain this summer, but didn't work out. My boss couldn't understand why I wanted another month off when I just had one last year. (darn it) So, I missed out on the West Coast cruise when it's here in my back yard, so to speak. I've been working a lot of hours at Northrop. So much, so, that it was a couple of weeks before I realized that Julie & the girls had come & gone from Los Angeles & I was oblivious (bad MJ) - and that was back in December/January. (Sorry Julie)

I wish we were all preparing for our trip now. We had such a marvelous time with all of you, and I do think of you, just haven't been checking this thread like I should have. I'm glad the core group have kept it alive.

I think some of us - well, many of us lived on our thread last year at this time, and I'll always remember the fun we've had.

Hugs to those of you who have gone through pain, and smiles to those of you who are going through good times. I'm really sorry to read that Josh needs to have surgery, poor boy. Our love and prayers for him.

We're planning on meeting up w/Lynn & Keith when they're out here, and if anyone else is willing to meet up at DLR that would be great. Lynn - I owe you an email!!

I'm off to the DLR in a bit to meet up w/my brother. We're going to see Indiana Jones & lunch at Downtown Disney. Looking forward to it!

I miss you guys! Happy Independence weekend! lol

It's so great to hear from Dan and MaryJo as well. Sorry, Dan, I didn't realize you are on the Repo also. So I guess it's Andrew, Julie, Lynn, Laura & Dan. Anyone else?

We have a decent number of people sailing on the 7/18, Tortola cruise next summer. Along with some new friends, we have MaryAnn and Wendy from NY. Also, Lucy, a friend from a previous cruise. And "the Rents" are looking into it too.

MJ, it's great to hear that you and the kids are doing well. No missing passports this summer?? Remember that craziness? And the couple who couldn't sail b/c they left their passport at Starbucks so they sailed with us instead!

Since my kids are all in a transition time, we're just doing the 4 day Double Dip Wonder cruise in a few weeks and a mini-trip to Universal Studios.

My oldest, may study on the West Coast in the Fall and if she does, we'll look you guys up, MJ. Talk to you soon. .................we're having rain here on the East coast today.
